Never felt safe leaving my daughter in the daycare and she would cry every single time I told her we’re going to YMCA. She’s been to multiple gyms and always loved other ones, I suspect they don’t treat them well here. Not the nicest people working here, why would I except them treating my daughter well in the daycare? Do your own research.

Not the best place to work, if you report an accident or ask if a person is okay after falling, you’re not only reprimanded, you’re asked to leave because a few members reported me for asking if they were okay, also found a man in the ladies locker room and I found him on a website where you have to admit that you are a child predator and has been arrested for it!!

My family has a membership here so when I got to take leave before being stationed overseas they wouldn’t let me workout despite being with my family who had a membership just sucks seeing an establishment disrespect turn away military members in such a rude manner

I personally witnessed (what i consider) child negelct/abuse by a ymca summer camp worker directed at a four year old child in the locker room. I ran and immediately reported to the management team which promptly tried to "brush this under the rug". I personally spoke with five managers at three seperate branches to no avail. 32 hours later, still no answer other than "we will handle it internally". To my knowledge no parents were contacted the day of the incident. How can a supposed Christian organization not take serious the allegations of wrong doing by an employee? I was told the employee was not fired or disciplined. I feel helpless to defend this child. Someone needs to look into this. Supposedly they are doing an internal investigation.I was met several times by management with phrases like "we need to verify this happened", "I'm not going to argue with you", "thank you for your concern we will handle it from here".Regardless of the internal investigation (which I'm sure isn't up to par the with standards that each parent would want for their own child), a third party needs to look into this matter. Incident occurred at middle tyger river ymca at approximately 1:05pm June 6th 2023.I'm not giving names. I'm not looking to slander or libel. I'm just saying what I witnessed and what was told to me directly.I wouldn't leave a review like this if given other assurances this matter was handled properly.. but no one can give me this information and I know the four year old child can't speak up for himself. Also, approximately five other grown men (non-employees) were in the locker room at the time and not one of them said a word. I can no longer in good faith be a part of this type of organization (based upon how this was handled).

Terrific deep water workout. What a great class to strengthen the body systems without pounding pavement.

Got a great tour and they have amazing facilities. It's not cheap but it's not a small gym either. Seemed very clean and I'm considering joining.

The afterschool/Summer camp program here is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The communication between the childcare directors & parents is horrible. It takes 2-3 days to even get a response from them. They had my daughter and the other kids in traditional camp outside in 100 degree temps almost all day long everyday, unless they went on a weekly field trip. They mix all different age groups together with very little supervision. Hardly any crafts or activities done. My daughter had a bullying incident which included an 8th grader targeting her and a group of other 5th grade girls. My daughter was so afraid to go back that I removed her the last week. I requested a refund from Lucretia the director over childcare & she said she would have to talk with the Y executive director. After nearly a week of no word from her I reached out and she said they denied my refund due to "Just because the bullying situation wasn't handled as I expected doesn't mean it wasn't handled" I them went directly to the Executive Director over the Whole YMCA and she had no idea I even requested a refund. She informed me it would be handles that day. She immediately requested my refund and I had a check in the mail within a week. But, I DO NOT RECCOMEND THE CHILDCARE PROGRAM HERE. IT IS JUST A PAYCHECK FOR THESE WORKERS. They do not care for these children and need better training in working with kids.

Worked here for 6 years of my life from 15-21. I since joined the military and have been gone for several years. I return to visit my family for Mother’s Day weekend and wanted to work out while here. I have a military physical fitness test next month and was counting on being able to work out while here to keep myself prepared. They wouldn’t even let me purchase a day pass. It would be a huge waste of money for me to purchase a membership considering I’m only visiting for a few days. Very frustrating to me after spending so much of my life at this place. Front desk employees always had a reputation for being rude during my time working there, but this is just so frustrating.

Very strict rules for pool areas massively over crowded with children young as 3 to 12 yes. A guesstimate. Out of 2 Olympic size pools. Me and my 4 kids were chased down and scolded. Swim team will be here any minute, this area is only for Swim team blah blah blah. The lifeguard who has been basically told me it's pointless to have purchased a family package 189 a month... because I agave literally 1 3ftwide lane of pool for me and 4 other people to exercise play relax and whatever else I wanna do for my 189. 1 lousy lane. Uncomfortable to be in the pool and the environment was very better than you vibey. Hated it and left. Sad

STAY AWAY. They will over bill you for services you didn't receive and send you debt off to collectors instead of fixing anything. Got charged over 800 for a 10min consultation and the bill said exercise equipment was used. They were very rude and did nothing to correct the billing.

Great staff. Clean facility. Lots of exercise equipment. Plenty of space to do your own routine. One downside is the cleaning supplies (wash and rag). I don't like a rag and bottle; I'd think it would be cleaner with disposable cloths. Outside of that, a really nice Y

Swim program for the kids is top notch. Parking is an issue at times like swim meets and other large events. The pool area is too small for large meets though and needs to be redesigned to expand the building out about 30 ft to allow proper stands for guests to view the meets and still have room for the end of the lanes and walking areas. Also need a better way to stage the swimmers. They gym works but causes a lot of confusion since they can't see the info board and hear what is going on.
