My son has been going to sunshine house of Duncan for 2 1/2 years- since he was 6 months old! I can’t say it’s been perfect- but nowhere is! We’ve had some billing issues, but I’ve always been able to get them corrected. There was a period of months where staffing was a big issue and my sons class hit capacity around 8am every morning, which made it where several days I had to make other arrangements for childcare last minute which was very frustrating, but the last few months it’s gotten back to normal! Most of the staff is very friendly and loves my son to death! Miss Toya is our FAVORITE! I think she may be the only teacher that has been there since the beginning, and my son adores her! She better not ever leave! Haha! My son has truly learned so much from attending, he comes home and amazes me everyday with how much he is learning!

I do not recommend Sunshine House in Duncan. We dealt with ongoing staffing issues that sometimes made it impossible to drop off our child as scheduled. There were frequent safety concerns, including toddlers as young as 21 months being placed in the same room with 5- and 6-year-olds. On multiple occasions, kitchen staff were left supervising children in the kitchen, which was extremely concerning from a safety and supervision standpoint.
What made the situation worse was the complete lack of communication from staff and management. Our questions were routinely ignored, teacher changes happened without any notice, and there were no updates provided to parents about what was going on inside the facility.
As a parent, I expect a safe, stable, and transparent environment — unfortunately, Sunshine House did not meet those expectations.

My granddaughter 2 yrs old, had scratches on her face that were unexplained on her first day. Then when questioned. Was told that she “must of fallen.” Not a valid response when you’re taking care of children. Seems that the children are unsupervised if this is happening. Second day there, my son was told to pick her up because she had a fever. When he arrived she looked as if she had been crying. Was sitting in the middle of the room by herself. No one attending to her. When it is a childs first time in daycare. You would expect the staff to ease the child into the environment. This daycare doesn’t seem to have the patience or empathy. They do not take young parents seriously. Brushing them off. Parents have to work to make ends meet. They shouldn’t have to stress about their child in a place that facilitates children. Do not waste your money at this daycare. Especially if your children aren’t quite verbal to communicate. This place doesn’t have working cameras from what was told to us by staff. You will not know what is happening to your children.

I have been very scared to put my little one in daycare because I haven't used daycare system since my oldest which is 14 was 2 years old themselves so 12 years. And the first week was a little rough because she wasn't used to it. But they did such a great job at helping her adjust. And now she's got teachers that are her favorite teachers and she's only been there a handful of weeks and I just can't say how happy I am with how this process went and how comfortable I feel dropping her off now. It's been a blessing in disguise!

Honestly I like this day care and their staff. Ms. Melodee very sweet, Ms. Thai best teacher , my kids LOVE her! Mr. Justin very funny and always so helpful. It was really sad for me and my kids to leave this place .
But unfortunately during our time here which was around 10 months they close my 2 year old daughter classroom for 3 times . 1st time it was for a month! 2nd it was few days and 3rd time I don’t know even for how long because we had to leave. I am working mom with no help, and I cannot afford for her nanny or my friends staying with her for God knows how long.
If they will decide something with teachers or put my both kids back in the day care we definitely would love to come back!
It is very very sad that teachers keep leaving without notice and I just don’t understand how management can keep doing in and doesn’t have any emergency staff for this kind of situations .

When my husband and I toured Sunshine House, the thing that sold us was how happy every child in the building was - and now we understand why they were!! I absolutely love this place. Trusting strangers with a two month old as a first time mom is absolutely terrifying, but I 100% can say I trust Sunshine House of Duncan to not only "watch" my daughter, but to love and care for her as well. Ms. Heather and Ms. Melodee are amazing at keeping the place running and are great with communication. And Ms. Theresa in the infant room is outstanding - she really keeps the babies engaged and makes me feel confident that my daughter is getting the absolute best care away from her parents. I can't compliment her enough.I will recommend Sunshine House over and over again.

I was looking for a daycare to enroll my 2-year old into and was really thinking about SSH until I saw screenshots of the director, Heather, harassing former staff on social media. Frankly, I’m appalled to have witnessed such unprofessionalism and immaturity on a public platform. If I can’t trust someone to abstain from sending inappropriate messages to former employees on social media, then I can’t trust them with my child. I can’t believe the SSH would allow someone to use their name in such an ill-suited way on a public platform.

My kids love it there!!! Heather and Melodee are the best.! They are understanding, awesome with my kids, and straight forward with me. If I have ever come across a challenging path with my kids, which, haha, there has been, they help work with me to make those challenges easier. This place is more affordable then most daycares out there and they come with an awesome crew! Love these ladies and love this daycare!!!

Personally know and trust the staff. They truly love each child as their own. They care for the children and look out for their best well being.
