I have been seeing Doctor Pruitt since I was 15 I am now 30. However this review is not for him or his place of business but more so for his receptionist. I called to make my yearly appt and to explain that I have been having extreme issues with my eyes lately ones I’ve never experienced; she gave me an appt that was 3 weeks out which was fine. The problem came when I asked her if he thought maybe I needed to be seen sooner just to be on the safe side if not 3 weeks was fine. She proceeded to give me a list of other doctors I could see if I did not want to wait. I’m used to her attitude and typically I’ll ignore it but I’m just over it at this point. 🙄

This doctor is great very meticulous in his work. I recommend him to everyone. I noticed other people complain about his receptionist. I had no problems with her, but I do tell you this even if you have problems with his receptionist, don’t cheat yourself out of a good eye doctor because he is very good and knowledgeable.

I went in for my first appointment today an waited to be greeted. The receptionist was so rude. I wanted to ask about how long would it be before I went back since my appointment was for 11am an it was getting to be 11:30. Well she gasped like I was bothering her by even being up at the receptionist desk. She replied look I don't know when you are going back all I'm here for is to put this information in so you will have to wait an see. Mind you there was another lady behind her who she was about to give my papers to so she could have just said you're about to go now. I then felt instantly that this was a normal thing cause the lady behind her had no reaction to the rudeness. I canceled myself an my husband cause we will not be back nor will my son.

I do not recommend vision plus, honestly I should have listened to the reviews. I only went here because it was close to my house. The receptionist always looks like she just rolled out of bed and acts extremely unprofessional. I made an appt to get my eyes rechecked to order new glasses and contacts, early November I had to come back early December to try on contacts which I didn’t know I was doing. I thought I was just picking them up. Wrong. I did pick up my glasses and the receptionist acted like she had no idea what I was talking about and couldn’t find the case my glasses came in. When I tried the contacts I called them back two days later to let them know I liked them and to go ahead and order the contacts. Well it’s been over 2 weeks and I have not heard. I called this morning and the lady on the phone said she hadn’t seen them and will send a text when they come in but I don’t think they were even ordered in the first place. After this I will not be going back. I don’t understand why I am still dealing with the eye doctor 2-3 months after my initial appointment when all I needed was new glasses and contacts.

My family and I have been going here for many years. Dr. Pruitt and his staff has always treated us well. Keep up the great work. You will never be able to please everyone!

I do not recommend ordering glasses here. The staff was pleasant to work with and very helpful in selecting the frames, but when my glasses came back, they were not so helpful. I ordered 2 pair. One was accurate and great. The 2nd pair was the wrong frame. I was told there was nothing they could do because they wrote down the frame of the ones I handed them. However, I took a pic of myself in the ones I wanted and these are NOT the correct ones. So, I am stuck with an incorrect frame after spending over $500 on 2 pairs of glasses. I will NOT make this mistake again. Just for the record, Dr. Pruitt was great! He was patient and did not rush. This is NOT a review of my visit with him. I will return to for his service, but will NOT purchase glasses from Vision Plus again.

First time patient and I had a wonderful visit! Dr. Pruitt and his staff were very helpful and friendly. They got me new contacts within 2 weeks and notified me promptly when they were in. I was nervous to try a new doctor when we moved states recently but I’m glad I found this office!

My oldest son and I saw Dr. Pruitt and I loved his demeanor and knowledge. Unfortunately, we found another eye doctor because no one answers the phone or returns emails. It took more than 2 months to get our glasses and I had to stop in and ask because you can't get anyone to pick up the phone! I mentioned to the receptionist that no one was answering the phone and the voice-mail said it was full and she flat out ignored me. Vision Plus is not worth the hassle despite Dr. Pruitt.

I absolutely love this Dr and have been seeing him for my eye care needs for almost 20yrs. However his receptionist is absolutely horrible. She has a very nasty attitude and no customer service & or compassion. I called earlier to make an appointment and due to her horrible attitude when I called I will most certainly b looking for another Dr. This is not the first time she has had this horrible attitude when I have called or been in the office and its getting worse and very old and aggravating. Hate that it has come this far because Dr Pruitt is absolutely amazing.

My son and I had our first appointment last week. Dr. Pruitt was wonderful— kind, attentive, and clearly understood what was going on with my vision.
The ladies in the office were also professional and I had no issues. I had seen previous reviews so went in feeling wary, but it wasn’t necessary. Everything went smoothly!
(I was actually sickened to go to my appointment and realize the woman who past reviewers had referred to as “the crazy haired lady” is a woman of color. So extremely inappropriate of other reviewers to comment on her hair! ?)

If I could give zero stars I would. Very unprofessional, ESPECIALLY the receptionist. When following up on my contact lens order after almost 90 days from ordering, Carla said it was canceled because she ASSumed I went somewhere else to get them quicker. I NEVER asked to cancel anything. Now noone will return calls, even Dr Pruitt. If you have another option, use it! Bad business at this place. My bad for trying to support my community.

Overall unprofessional feeling environment... Receptionist seemed disheveled, and service was slow. Then I had to go back, and pick up-my hand written (like a child) prescription, they refused to email or give it to me over the phone... Dated and dingy, but Dr Pruitt was very nice! But also, There hours are ridiculous and they don't answer the phones!!!!!!!!
