16Dec2023On I-85 while entering from Georgia to South Carolina. The Visitor Center of South Carolina is at beautiful place. It is well maintained. All the facilities are properly provided. The attendant inside are helpful and gave all the information properly. I got the Map for my information. The washroom is in good condition. The vending machines are secured and in good condition. The beautiful landscaping outside is well maintained. The area is secured and guarded by law authority.

The South Carolina Welcome Center at Fair Play looks like a nice rest stop but closes at 5:00 PM. The restrooms and vending machines are still available, but with no staff or security on the premises it has a bit of an eerie feeling. I-85 is also a major North-South trucking route so thankfully there are a lot of truck drivers, making it a bit better.

I visited South Carolina for the first time earlier this year, and the welcome center experience was lovely. I received detailed help and booklets to help me explore this beautiful state. I ended up visiting Greenville for the day, and it was outstanding. Seeing the city in person made it look so much more beautiful than you can ever imagine in the pictures. Excellent, fabulous staff! I’ll be back again for another adventure soon, and I know I will be led the way to the best of the best from the staff here.

Very nice Welcome center. We always stop here when we go home for the holidays. All types of information on everything in the state of South Carolina. It feels very safe compared to most places and it's always very clean. Best thing about this place is we're almost to our holiday location. This is our last stop before we arrive to our family holiday destination.

Clean place, and somebody up at the front desk can answer any questions you had. Nice area that was well maintained. Definitely recommend if you need a bathroom break or stretch your legs.

While going on I85 from GA to SC, don't miss this place for two reasons:1. Beautiful blue serene lake on both sides of Interstate2. Small refreshing bio and/or breakThe center has 2 components. 1 - Information center closer to Interstate. Well decorated, a lot of leaflets and pamphlets all around. Staffed desk to answer any queries you may have. I found 2 friendly and courteous ladies there. Take a few photos in this beautiful and tastefully decorated space.2 - separated by parking and drive through. We have vending machines on the other side. Regular stuff is not much to write about.Lot of space for truckers to rest.

This rest area is smaller than others, yet it has a good bit of parking, bathrooms, and a clear picnic area. It was an easy place to stop along the way.

I am re discovering South Carolina. My favorite city is Myrtle Beach. If relaxing is your pleasure , this state defines peaceful bliss. Expect to be greeted with Southern hospitality. The receptionist here were very kind and sweet. That is that southern charm. They offered a coupon book here with discounted hotel prices, maps, and magazines.

Kinda sketch. Not gonna lie...The same maybe (6?) guys were spread out all over the grounds....sitting in different places. They all had not so happy faces and were people watching hard....ya may want to get some sort of security or resource officer there of some sort....I was there for about an hour and only one had moved and all he did was move to a different spot. They were not looking as grown men either....just putting that out there.

Friendly staff at this welcome center just over the state line from Georgia. Drive around the building to get to the picnic tables in the shade.

The two kind ladies that greet you are two of the warmest friendliest people we’ve met on this trip. They provided great information about the state n things to see.

At the welcome center, there's a little path you can walk to,and walk down to the lake
