Do not rent from this budget rent a car. Poor customer service. Like previous reviewer stated customer service was non- existent. Too lazy to even up sell. But managed to over charged me. I am still working on my refund. A better option in Florence would be to use Turo they are more transparent with their charges.

Must commend the young lady that assisted us Sunday (22OCT23) on her professionalism and promptness.We were running behind for our reservation time, she was very patient and as soon as she was able to attend to us - she did pleasantly.She even made sure to adjust our pick-up and drop-off time, to allow us adequate time to utilize the vehicle, fully, without having to rush any further - due to the fact we were already behind (due to no fault of budget or the representative).That actually helped us out and was a stress reliever. Thank you for making our rental experience stress-free and smooth. Keep up the great work !

I do not recommend this. I went there to get a rental car. As soon, as I leave Florence, on the way to Charlotte and I just found out the tire is flat. You telling me that you didn't check this car and four tires. How shameful of you? I would have been stuck on the interstate. I am glad that I made it through to Charlotte. My fiancé called the services and he had to replace the tire. I will never go back there AGAIN. Please don't waste your time! Read the reviews!!!

Rented a car and about 3 hrs in my 7hr trip the brakes got metal to metal so I limped it to this location. They did give me a new car but it was absolutely filthy and crawling with ants. I notified the lady and she took a can of raid and said "this happens all the time" went sprayed the car down and came back and expected me to take the car and put my son and younger brother in the back. Then she said if I have a problem I can take the vehicle with no brakes. What a joke, she should be fired and this location needs some act right.

Very unprofessional they book a car then they tell you you have no credit. Which is totally ridiculous. We’ve rented from any other agencies with success and never had any problems. You want to read the reviews and believe what they say, because they are true recommend rent from somewhere else other than this place.

I rented a sedan (5 seats) in the anticipation of having three people in the vehicle. When I needed a larger vehicle to fit 7+ I was unable to upgrade due to the company not having any large vehicles available. I requested to cancel due to this reason and I was charged $50 to cancel, despite the company not having what I needed to upgrade to. I canceled more than a month prior to my trip so it was not last minute for the change. I could understand the fee if it was 24-48 hours prior to but well over a month in advance? I asked politely to have the fee waived and he didn't even place me on hold, just told me a few times not to hang up and then said his superior, Alice, (whom he probably contacted via chat, if at all) said they could not waive the fee after about two minutes. This seemed quite outrageous to me. I was able to find something quickly with National, I received great customer support and only paying $200 more for more than double the space for a two week trip. This company charges a high daily rate and will NOT waive a fee when asked politely due to the company not being able to provide what the customer needs. I will not be wasting another dollar with Budget Car Rental.

While this was the most reasonable. This particular budget at Florence Airport was so aggravating Customer service is never ever in place. Doesn't matter what time you call doesn't matter what time you show up you're looking for someone at that local budget and they are never ever in place. You go in National Avis all the others always have a customer service representative to serve their customers. This is the only one that the customer service seems to get paid for not being there...

Book a reservation from out of town only to land in airport and see that they are closed. Now I'm stuck in the airport and no customer service available

Terrible Customer Service. Employees were extremely rude and the vehicle was not properly sanitized and the exterior was filty.Most definitely will NEVER rent at this location or company again. Its ridiculous on who they employ.

I have a had good experiences I’ve the years with renting cars but this had to be the worst experience I’ve ever had. My family and I are in Myrtle Beach for a golf trip we do every year. Everyone left early so my cousin and I decided to get a rental car but this was the closest location that said they had one. We booked the car and received the verification for the rental. We bummed a ride because this location is about 90 minutes from where we were staying at, when we arrived, the lady behind the desk said I am sorry but we don’t have any cars at this time. My cousin and I were dumbfounded that they would book a car for you when there are no cars available. The lady behind the counter said this happens all the time. I don’t understand how we can book and confirm a car when there are no cars to be had. My cousin got on the phone with corporate Budget and he had 3 different people tell him this is his problem not theirs. We ended up having to take a $120 Uber/Lyft ride back to Myrtle Beach with no rental car taking about 5 total hours out of our family vacation time. I will never rent from Budget again and will make sure to tell my friends and family to never rent from Budget again.
