Had my first trip to Conns in Florence SC today, and it was one of the best appliance shopping experiences I’ve ever had. The quick service was so great, as well as the person who helped me. Vonda is her name, and she is absolutely wonderful. She explained any and every detail, and answered every question (even the ones I couldn’t think of) . I didn’t think I was going to be able to leave with everything I needed, but with her swift skills and critical thinking she was able to help me achieve my goal. I definitely recommend taking a trip to Conns for yourself!

Fair Prices, looks like quality product and customer service is on point. However, staff is completely uneducated on forms, financing, and basic math. Prior to signature, a $2,000 financed purchase was listed for $3100 on the invoice when I was asked to sign. Had I NOT paid complete and full attention, I would've been led to finance over $1100 more than what I had asked to purchase. After pulling out my calculator, and going over the invoice with the sales rep, the problem was discovered and corrected.Secondly, promotions. A "free nightstand" was promised regardless of purchase. At signing, I was told I had to purchase a complete set for the $300 night stand to qualify as free. Even after asking again and again "are you sure the night stand is free with just the bed, or do I have to purchase the entire set?" I was assured I could purchase the bed and mattress. Turns out, you DO have to purchase the full set.Military discounts. I was answered with a question, "Are you active duty?". Turns out, you're only appreciated if you CURRENTLY serve... those that DID, don't matter.Finally, document signing and financing breakdowns. Monthly payment schedules are extremely confusing and unexplained, and contracts are VERY misleading with absolutely NO knowledge or training from staff to be able to clearly and concisely inform the customer of what they are signing. If you are going to shop at Conn's, pay attention. I you're not really good at math, or get nervous at all, iwould INSIST bringing someone with you. Monthly payment breakdowns suggest $138 monthly payments from months 1-4, $1100 monthly payments for months 4-11, and $1,200 payment on month 12 for "interest free if you pay it off in 12 months." Imagine the look on my face. When I expressed the confusion, the very sweet, kind young manager said "I know, ignore that, accounting doesn't no how to do math, just skip over that part." As if my expertise was not unique, and is a very regular occurrence while higher chain of command has consistently allowed it to continue... a shame really.To summarize, the intitial sales rep was polite, professional and overall easy to talk to. The manager was very much same. Both employees seemed to be of a younger age. Interactions and conversation were very pleasant. However, I'm disappointed in the company as a whole for operating with such little knowledge/understanding of what the customer is subjected to financially, and overall having such negligence in terms of allowing customers to sign away hard earned money for necessary living essentials in the home. For a furniture store large enough to have locations from Louisiana to the Carolinas, they are likely scamming thousands into financial contracts that have no knowledge of the trap they sign up for, and profiting hundreds of thousands of dollars on the backs of regular people.**Foot Note**Let it be known, the one star is NOT because of the employees. I MUST MAKE THAT EXTREMELY CLEAR. It is (in my opinion) not their fault that company's disregard and/or negligent operation has failed them, and ultimately me, the customer.

Staff always greets with a smile and opportunity to help customer. I love the fact that they aren't pushy at all. I was given time to look around and I let the staff know when I was ready to proceed with my purchase. When a question was asked they did their best to make sure they was giving me the correct response. I always leave the store with a smile and sense of accomplishment. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking to make a purchase on any of the household needs!!Michelle Buckel

I inquired about a TV that, in the end, I essentially decided against.I have been contacted constantly since then about buying the TV. I have asked to be removed from their call/contact list and continue to be bombarded with back-to-back calls. Literally call after call.Poor experience dealing with this entire situation. It has become exhausting.I suggest to not make my mistake. Do not call; do not share name or number. Shop in person, or you will be called numerous times everyday no matter if you ask nicely or more demanding.

THE STORE CLERKS AT THE FLORENCE SC STORE WAS NICE BUT MY CONNS EXPERIENCE WITH DAMAGE FURNITURE WAS NOT FAIR. SERVICE MAN RIP MY MATTRESS AND STEP ON MY BOX SPRING AND ALL I GET IS EMAILS. EMAILS REPLYING THEY ARE SORRY BUT AFTER REVIEW FROM SUPERVISION. THEY ARE UNABLE TO HELP I N SO MANY WORDS. I PAY MY BILL ON TIME AND THIS IS HOW I GOT TREATED. A MATTRESS I CANT USE.
