“I enjoyed my stay from beginning till departure. Everything was great!! I have no complaints and am overall satisfied with the whole experience I just wished I could have stayed a little longer.
Linens and towels were clean with ample enough provided.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with every interaction.
It's a very convenient location as well, with many food options nearby.

“My husband and I we started to stay here, the last 3 times we came to visit. We realized the Fairfield inn in Hartsville (which is closer to his family home) became a dump. I had complaints every time we stayed there. If it wasn't a dirty shower, it was prints on the headboard, smoky smell..you get my drift!
We stayed here in florence which is a half hour away and found that this place had some class. Howeverour 3rd stay here made me a little nervous. First off the staff is not as friendly and they dont seem to be happy to help. But I can get over those unpleasantries. What I cant get over is I tell you my room smells like mildew, what can be done and you said you would send someone up to address it but never do. Even mentioning the fact I have asthma and im getting triggered by it. The level of care. I will bring it up again when checking out today.”
“I stayed with friend like at last minute good got what we used it for probably good for a long stay good it was and for the hotel thy had a usbc hookup that worked were at more expensive hotels that did not have it there was a bad roof leak but did not effect us at all I would stay again if needed to”

“Staff has always been helpful, we stay here 2-3 times a year. Convenient location to highway and restaurants. Breakfast buffet is not bad for free. I think it may be time to spruce the rooms up a bit, but still not bad. I like that it does not allow pets because of our severe allergies.”

“I absolutely love staying here. The first people that you see are the ones at the front desk. I have met 4 so far and they all have a welcoming and accommodating energy. The hotel gives off old world class. Very clean and classic. When I enter I feel like I have money and have made it lol. It's located in a happening area of town, so if you like to be out and about, you can tour any of the nearby spots within walking distance or enjoy the in-hotel restaurant. I stay here for work and am an introvert so I hardly go out but I do like to observe the goings on and people watch from my windows from time to time. This place fills up fast so please reserve early!”
“My truck broke down and the company got me a room here for 5 nights. The place is nice, comfortable and friendly. They are more then pet friendly, all the staff like the pets coming in and they even have multiple garbage can/bag setups if one needs them to help clean up after the pups.
The rooms a nice and clean. The breakfast was excellent.”

“Super convenient location, close to all of my work meetings. I love that there’s restaurants within super easy walking distance and even though it’s pet friendly and there were dogs in other rooms, I did not hear any when in my room and my room was super clean without any smells. Great to have a fridge as well. Breakfast was underwhelming.”

“Clean, well-maintained rooms and facilities. Comfortable beds with a variety of softness of pillows. Thick walls for comfortable sleep. Breakfast had hot and continental choices. The juice was running watery but the staff attended to it promptly, without complaint and even brought me a fresh cup once it was refilled. Very attentive and courteous stay.”
“My only issue with this place is they tried to bill my card a 2nd time after I had already paid on the hopper app.Whatever system they use don't show that the room is paid for when checking in.”

“Overall the best thing about this location is Krystal at the front desk. She was super nice and offered a friendly smile upon check in. Although we are Gold Elite Members and the hotel was basically empty the night we stayed, we weren't offered the normal upgrade. The rooms themselves are small. Especially the bathrooms, the tubs are not standard size. For the points we used expected a roomier stay. Breakfast was ok with various cold and hot options. The supposed heated pool felt like taking a artic plunge. For expectations this Springhill Suites left us disappointed. They get three stars for room and location but five stars for Krystal.”

Exceptional Stay – Friendly Staff, Great Atmosphere, and Excellent Service
The Courtyard by Marriott Florence is an outstanding place to stay and one of the best experiences I’ve had with this brand. From the moment I checked in, everything about this hotel impressed me — the cleanliness, the staff, the atmosphere, and the overall attention to detail made it a truly enjoyable stop.
The hotel itself was spotless and well-maintained. You can tell management takes pride in keeping everything in top condition. The lobby and common areas were inviting, the rooms were exceptionally clean, and every part of the property felt fresh and well cared for. It’s always a good feeling when you can immediately see the effort that goes into maintaining a high standard of hospitality.
What really made the stay memorable, though, was the staff. Every single employee I interacted with was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to help. Whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, or the bar staff, everyone had a smile on their face and treated guests like family. You could tell they enjoyed what they do, and that positive energy set the tone for the entire stay.
The bar area was lively and full of people enjoying themselves, yet everything remained well-organized and comfortable. The bartenders were friendly, fast, and welcoming — creating an atmosphere that made you want to sit back, relax, and unwind after a long day. Even though the hotel was busy, the team managed it perfectly, keeping the service consistent and the guests happy.
Management deserves a lot of credit as well. It was clear that they were hands-on and engaged with both the guests and their staff. You could see them checking in, assisting where needed, and making sure everything ran smoothly — a rare level of leadership that shows real dedication to guest satisfaction.
Overall, this Courtyard by Marriott exceeded expectations in every way. Excellent service, friendly people, a spotless environment, and a great atmosphere all came together to make this a perfect stop. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone passing through or staying in the Florence area — you’ll be treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality from start to finish.”

“I had originally booked the room with the help of the microtel by Wyndham due to my daughter being under 21. This was the only place I could find that would let her stay. The night shift front desk explained that the cost was actually less than originally charged. She was extremely kind in fixing the charged amount. Thank you so much!!!”

“Easy on easy off the highway, gas stations McDonalds close by. They are renovating… a big task and doing a little at a time so it is t perfect. My room had a smoky residue but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The price was great!”

“Can be a bit tricky to drive in. I didn't personally stay there. I walk past the driveway a lot, and often see people accidentally drive into waffle house trying to figure out how to get to the lobby to check in. I've been in 1 room to drop off my friend's children who were living there. The room was normal size. All hotels look the same to me if they are not expensive. It was comfortable looking through. There is also a workout room for guests. I don't know how many machines actually work, I was only there to drop off some kids who were living there and walked by it. It's relatively quiet though, it's by the highway, so occasionally you will hear vehicles.”

“I stayed here for a work meeting and it has been a very nice hospitable stay. The staff is super nice and the breakfast options were nice and fully stocked. Some places have the bare minimum. They even had fruit infused water available. Also the managers happy hour for guests had a lot of options and the drinks provided were great. Impressed with this location.”
