Went to buy some turtle supplies and everything was all well and good till I was paying when I saw one cashier beside me throw something in my bag and didn’t really think anything was wrong thought maybe they were having a promotion when you buy certain things you get something free or something like that. Well I was wrong as soon as I got in my car I went to look over my items to make sure I bought everything I needed when I found two small bags of dog treats I immediately looked at the receipt and realized I had been charged close to $20 dollars for dog treats when I don’t even have a dog. So I had to go back in to get a refund.

If I could give them a -2 I would! My furbaby had her first ever grooming appointment. She was turned away by Sarah (I’m assuming based on the name online). There was no sympathy for my furbaby at all. You must have a passion for working with animals! And Sarah didn’t have a bit of compassion or patience! She instantly turned my baby away! I will NEVER buy another product from any Petco all because of how Sarah treated my puppy yesterday 7/6/24. It’s almost as if she needed a break and automatically said, I’m turning her away.

I came to Petco to buy some fish for my tank. And when I saw a Petco associate named Sam and stated that I wanted to buy some fish, she replied “that’s nice”. And walked away. I went to the register where Sam was checking out another customer and waited to speak with her again about getting some fish. When a female customer came up to the register and asked her a question and she was very polite to this customer, smiling and offering suggestions. I asked the female customer what did Sam say and Sam replied in a derogatory, racist and hateful tone “I TOLD YOU , YOU HAVE TO WAIT!” I stated that I don’t know what your problem is but you will not speak to me in that tone. Sam still continued to speak negatively to me in a derogatory, racist and hateful tone. So I decided to not spend any money with Petco because of the racist, hateful and derogatory way I was treated by Sam who works for Petco. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING ELSE FROM THIS STORE AGAIN. If this is the type of people they employ at Petco.

Your response although given does not take accountability for how I was treated. Which shows me that you as a OWNER OF THE BUSINESS PETCO condone this type of behavior from your employees. We as consumers and as human beings deserve to be treated professionally, courteously and fairly when we come in contact with an employee that represents your company (PETCO). Sam needs a course on proper etiquette and communication skills in dealing with the public. It’s clear that she/he (Sam) doesn’t know the difference. That’s very clear by his/her (Sam’s) approach to a customer.
