About Regency Hospital - Florence
Regency Hospital in Florence provides compassionate and professional care for patients requiring long-term treatment and rehabilitation. Patients often arrive in critical condition, such as after severe illnesses like double pneumonia, respiratory failure, or a stroke. Despite the challenging circumstances, the staff at Regency creates a welcoming and positive environment, making patients feel comfortable and cared for. The facility features bright, spacious rooms with large windows, giving a non-hospital feel that helps ease anxiety. The hospital’s team includes skilled nurses, techs, and therapists who work together to support recovery. Patients receive comprehensive therapy, including occupational and physical therapy, to regain mobility and independence. For those on ventilators or with trachs, staff diligently assist with weaning and teach patients to speak again. The hospital also helps patients progress from feeding tubes to normal diets and supports lung healing, often helping patients avoid more invasive procedures like transplants. Regency staff show genuine kindness, patience, and understanding, treating patients with dignity even during difficult moments like toileting or accidents. They go beyond basic care, sometimes assisting with personal interests like using a 3D printer or learning CAD software, making the stay feel more personal. The hospital strives for excellence, continuously improving their systems and services. While the care is excellent, some reviews mention that hallways could be cleaner, but overall, Regency is highly recommended for its quality patient care, attentive staff, and supportive environment, which helps patients and their families through difficult times.

Family member in ICU, great care, attentive staff. Hallway outside of the ICU could use some attention, popcorn was spilled I assume, and after 2 days there are still kernels on the floor. I don't know how the hospitals cleaning routine works however I do know even the halways should be clean and free of debris.
