My husband disputed a charge on his card was told not to worry he would get his money back & they wouldn’t be able to take any more money of course that’s opposite of what happened! He is still trying to get over 700 dollars back of course he has to do all the leg work! Not one person in the bank in Florence looks like they like their job or they are just miserable people! Not ever a smile so on top of loosing your money you have to deal with miserable people ?

You just lost out on four new accounts because of the lack of customer service. I decided to take the new accounts elsewhere. Also seriously contemplating taking my current business elsewhere.

I do not trust this bank with my money.I had a savings account that I didn’t use for 3 years and it just maintained a balance.Recently I re-initiated making deposits - just to have my money being sent to state and my account shut down for inactivity …. To my astonishment - per manager it was my fault that I didn’t know ALL BANKS WILL CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT FOR 5 year inactivity - which is loggin into a portal or making transactions - yet when I updated my information during acquiring information for setting up recurring payments with a tailor - none of it was communicated nor any changes - address and name have been applied. I haven’t received communication, never got new card when old one expired, their system failed 3 times to update my mailing address and l stuff doesn’t even know what they are doing to do it right.Now I have to get my money from state that is taking ridiculously long time - and I never even got an apology from the stuff/ branch manager for the mess they have caused.I do not recommend anyone this bank - not a place I would trust with my money.I have to wait for 5 months now to get my savings back.

Horrible customer service!! Do not bank here if u need customer service after 5pm!! They will take your money then say it takes 5-7 business days to sort any issue you may have. I will be looking for another banking institution as soon as possible. Every number they have connects you to someone at a call center and not a location. Very disappointed in this bank!!

While most of the employees there are extremely nice, there is one man working the window who can be rather condescending. I think I'm his effort to be "professional," he leaves behind approachability and friendliness. But, they do have a couple people who are very polite and people-friendly, but you really must learn who they are. Otherwise, you run into what I just have. I usually only had a savings, but because I really liked them, I opened a checking account at the start of 2019. For school, this meant transferring funds from savings to checking....ALL my money was in savings. So as to not over spend, I moved funds as needed. Bad choice on my part. At my primary bank, this is a non-issue as I can transfer as many times as I'd like between my accounts. At my mom's bank, she is limited to 6 per month, but after that limit is reached they don't allow electronic transfers, period. Sharonview, it seems, allows 6 per some period, after that they will charge you a fee for each one over. This fee, however, is not immediately reflected or taken from the account, so definitely don't rely on electronic banking here. I made the mistake of thinking I understood, but I didn't. In my error, the fees hit sort of semi-collectively, not as the transfers happened. This sent my savings negative. I never received any communication to this effect, so I just realized it recently that this had happened. I went to the bank today to correct this and bring my savings to the positive. I was told by the man at the window that I need to come inside to rectify the issue with my account. I wasn't sure what he meant, but he was rather rude about the "issue." I went in. He out loud said that the woman waiting for me inside would "handle the situation with your account." It was a bit embarrassing as I still didn't know what issue there was since I'd come to make right my error. I tried to express to the woman that this was embarrassing, but she literally just gave a half hearted excuse and dismissed it. I was then informed that because of the error, my account was charged off and closed and would not be reopened. Very bluntly. I apologized for the error, and explained that I'd never had any issue like this with a bank before so I certainly didn't mean it intentionally. It was very much a- well, it's closed and that's final. You put too much in the savings so I'll get the extra money out for you and close it. They told me I would not be permitted an account there again. It just feels like a very strong reaction to what was really a minimal error that I admit to and corrected. This bank is not forgiving to mistakes or misunderstandings. I've literally never once had this type of issue, and I've never felt so accused by a bank in my life. While still a good bank, ask questions constantly and do not expect any effort to help you if something unexpected comes up, even if it is minor. 3 stars for the time I only had a savings account and really enjoyed them. But today has left me feeling very attacked and just embarrassed.
