Baxter Close YMCA is a well-maintained and welcoming community center that offers a variety of services and amenities. The facility features clean, modern spaces with a wide range of fitness equipment, making it an excellent place for workouts. The staff are consistently friendly, kind, and attentive, creating a positive atmosphere for visitors. Many reviews highlight the exceptional care provided at the YMCA, especially in the childcare and summer camp programs. One parent shared a heartfelt experience about sending her child with Type 1 diabetes to camp, emphasizing the attentive and loving care from staff members, particularly a counselor who went above and beyond to ensure her child's safety, inclusion, and happiness. The water park area is another highlight, with three distinct zones including an adult water slide, a pool up to about 5-7 feet, and a kiddie section. The presence of ample lifeguards ensures safety, with quick responses in emergencies. Members also appreciate the community aspect, describing the YMCA as a friendly place with great people who make every visit enjoyable. The facility's outdoor pools are popular, although some find the pool schedule inconvenient when all outdoor pools are closed for breaks. I can only speak to the outside pool. What a great place to get a bit of exercise and to cool off if you are a Silver Sneakers member like me.

Such a fun place! I was a member while I was young, my children were young and now as a Mimi, I get to bring my grandkids. I took a star from the rating because they have started adding fees to visit the Waterpark $15/child. Just ridiculous!
