Avis is my "go to" place for car rentals and has been for years.This location definitely stands out among other locations I have visited.They always have my reservation ready and I have been happy with every vehicle I have rented at this location. I even get vehicle upgrades on occasion which is always a nice surprise.The customer service is always great. Even when the employees are handling multiple customers and they are very busy, they never get flustered and I never feel rushed. They take the time to make sure the vehicle is good to go and that I am good with my rental.I have also been there when an employee was handling a customer that who was "not happy" for whatever reason. The employee handled the situation with patience and was obviously doing everything she could to make the customer happy.Bottom line:Great location to rent a vehicle.

Awesome experience! Rented a car within 1 hour of needing it. Upgraded because their selection wasn’t great at the end of the night. The woman helping me was very kind and they were patient even though they were closing. Will keep using!

I recently rented a minivan from the Avis location in Greenville to kickstart our family vacation. Unfortunately, my vacation got off to a less-than-ideal start due to several issues with the rental.Firstly, in the rush to get to the Atlanta airport, I didn't have the chance to thoroughly inspect the vehicle. It was only when we got home and began loading our luggage that we realized how dirty the van was. There was even trash left behind from the previous renter. This initial disappointment quickly escalated as we noticed animal hair scattered throughout the vehicle and a layer of dust that suggested it hadn't been cleaned.During our three-hour drive, another problem emerged - the auto car app kept disconnecting from my phone every 15-20 minutes. This made navigating to our destination an annoying and inconvenient ordeal.Despite my initial dissatisfaction with the rental, I tried to let it slide, focusing on enjoying our vacation. However, what prompted me to write this review was receiving a letter from Avis after our trip. The letter stated that the vehicle had been inspected at the destination airport and found in a different condition than when it was picked up in Greenville. Due to the discovery of animal hair, I was informed that my credit card would be charged $450. This left me utterly baffled and frustrated. Why should I be penalized for an issue that should have been addressed before I even drove away from the rental location?I acknowledge that I should have inspected the car more thoroughly at the time of pickup, and I accept my share of the responsibility for not doing so. However, the fact that I'm now being slapped with an additional charge for a problem that was clearly pre-existing is incredibly disappointing.In summary, my experience with Avis in Greenville was marred by a dirty and poorly maintained vehicle, malfunctioning technology, and an unexpected and unfair charge after my trip and an extended amount of wasted time on call to address this . While I accept some responsibility for not examining the vehicle more closely during pickup, I believe Avis should take responsibility for not providing a clean and well-maintained vehicle in the first place. This experience has left me with a negative impression, and I hope others are spared a similar ordeal in the future.

GREAT service! I was hungover and they gave me a gatorade on the house. Lifesavers! And I was impressed with the car they gave me. I will be using Avis again.

This is an industry that attracts people who like to complain, it's that simple. I have been in numerous service industries so it's easier for me to see things from their point of view and mine. The pickup and dropoff were incredibly easy, both the man and woman were incredibly kind and professional. If you're going to damage the car or drive it twenty minutes after filling it up yeah they're going to bill you. That's their job. Be your own best advocate and stay until the security deposit return is approved and you'll likely be able to work out a mutually beneficial resolution to any issue.I've never had a better experience renting a car in all my life. Be kind, be reasonable, and rent from this location

A friend rented a car here and received excellent customer service with an upgrade to an SUV. Agent was more than helpful and spent time with him to familiarize him with the vehicle. Rental price was the best in town.

Don't rent a car from here they tell you all these things over the phone and keep your money if you return the car back before the original date you give them. Read all print b4 signing the papers. Then if you ask for the car back they will not give it to you. I highly do not recommend them

Supposed to pick up a car at 8 am. Got there at 8 and was told that they weren’t prepared for all the reservations. Agent said they would call us in a few hours when they received the car from the airport. Not cool. So we drove to the airport for them to fox our reservations. I would suggest no one use this location and strictly use the airport for rental cars.

Mehlan went above and beyond for us. The first car we had reserved had an issue with the front end, a weird noise and vibration. We turned around and brought it back immediately. Mehlan upgraded us and we were on our way minutes later. Thank you Mehlan and Avis!
