We have booked with Larkins for many of our celebrations: graduation parties, wedding, and birthdays. Sawmill is a great location with great parking. We recently hosted a birthday party for my mom - staff was amazing! They really took care of all our needs. The venue was already set upon arrival. From planning the event to the day of, communication was great! I highly recommend booking with Larkins!

Disappointing. Our group scheduled the event and had a head count a month ago, and collected their money. They ran out of both proteins and even butter for the rolls, before half the attendees had made it through the buffet line.

Nice facility for a social gathering. Floor is concrete. It's a little off a main road. Access road is choppy.

EAster Brunch very disappointing. Overrpiced. Underdelivered. If Denny's had an Easter Brunch would have been better. If it was half priced would have delivered an nice Easter experience for the kids- Easter Egg hunt and Easter Bunny. For an adult looking for an Easter dinner worthy of a once-a-year experience, keep hunting.

Oof. Easter brunch was just abysmal.- It began with being seated in a freezing-cold room. I spent the meal in my winter coat. - When we got seated we weren't given any direction as far as whether or not we should wait to have a drink order taken, or go straight to the buffet, or what. We awkwardly sat there, looking around, trying to catch someone's eye to get an answer. After about five minutes I managed to flag someone down who came and took drink orders. - One of the offered drinks was an espresso martini. Sounded good, so I asked the waitress if it contained anything with dairy in it. She said no, and named its three dairy-free ingredients. Everyone else ordered bloody marys. When we were almost done eating, someone finally showed up with drinks. One bloody mary, and three espresso martinis drizzled with chocolate and caramel. Which both contain dairy. So, we asked for the two other bloodys we ordered and I ended up just switching to a mimosa. When they finally came, everyone said their drink was awful. - We went to get food and immediately noticed a few things were missing that were on the menu they'd advertised. This was unfortunate, especially for me since I have many dietary restrictions and was banking on a couple of edible things being there that weren't.- Mostly I was just along to be there with the family, so I didn't expect much to be there for me, but wow. Most buffets at least have *something*. I ate some spring mix, some very dry, mushy potatoes, and some soggy, pitiful, clearly-not-fresh fruit salad. That's it. There was literally nothing else I could eat. Not one thing. Even just a typical vegetarian with no other limitations would have had almost nothing. This brunch is something people do with whole families, many of whom are bound to have different eating preferences. I'll bet there was at least one person at every table with almost no options. And in no way did anyone ever ask us how it was! - Everyone else at my table was able to find stuff they could eat, but all I heard was disappointment about almost everything on their plates. It all looked straight off of the Sysco truck and defrosted. Nothing fresh, original, or of quality at all.- The "omelet station" was... not that. One steam tray was full of those pre-cooked, pre-folded cheese-only omelets that come wrapped in plastic. Next to that were some bowls of shredded spinach, bacon bits, salsa, shredded cheese, and one or two other things. ...For people to put on top of their lukewarm, pre-made "omelets." There was no one cooking anything. The "fillings" were just cold toppings. - We asked for a carafe of water and no one ever came back to us again, so eventually one of our party stood up and found someone to get it for us. - The coffee ran out so one of our party got up and found someone asked them to get more. A minute later they brought her a cup of lukewarm (really bad) coffee with TONS of grounds in the bottom of it. I'm pretty sure they dumped what was left in the bottom of the pot in a mug. - There was no music, or atmosphere, or decor at all aside from vases on the table. Nothing to make it feel festive, or upscale, or special except the Easter bunny at the entrance. - From what I could see, the "Easter egg hunt" was just a small, open lawn littered with eggs. It didn't look like anything was hidden to hunt. Bummer for the kids, and probably over in moments. At any price this brunch wouldn't have been worth going to at all, and we'd never do it again. At nearly $60/person (plus the cost of pricy, awful drinks) it was flat-out robbery and enough to make us all a little angry. I don't know what to say except I hope this place never offers brunch again unless they completely overhaul it and get real food, made with fresh ingredients, cooked by real cooks, that isn't a parody of the worst 1980s cafeteria food imaginable. I'd bet that at least 75% of today's guests left feeling disappointed and ripped off.

4 in our family had Easter brunch today at Larkin's Sawmill. It was the worst buffet brunch we have ever had. We have had many buffet brunches here in Greenville over the years. To start the service was awful. We ordered cocktails, which the server got wrong. They finally came half way through our meal. We ordered 3 Bloody Mary's which tasted horrible. How do you mess up a Bloody Marry. No one came to our table to see how we were doing, or to ask if we needed water refills. I had to flag down someone to get more water, which by the way came in mini glasses. The food was mediocre at best. They said they had tomato pie. Their version of a tomato pie was a frozen mini quiche with half of a cherry tomato on top. The desserts were disgusting. There were only 5 different choices of desserts, 3 of the 5 being packaged goods you would get from a discount store like Entenmann's. The so called omelet station had pre-cooked omelets all ready done like you get at the less expensive hotel free breakfasts. The cost per person for this disaster was 54.00 a person. I really shouldn't have given this place any stars. I gave it one star because I didn't have to cook today! Never again shall we eat at this venue.

They served a very large crowd and did a great job of it. The food was good, not great. They produced it locally. Impressive venue.

Visited Larkin's Sawmill twice in a few days; for a wedding reception, then for a graduation ceremony. It's a beautiful, large venue. For the reception, there was a biscuit bar, carving stations and delicious wine. For the graduation, sound system was good and seating was comfortable.
