You all have gotten so sloppy and have destroyed my families security. Purely downhill. First, I wasn't aware of the $5 monthly fees and had to get those refunded. Then you denied my insurance payment and told me you'd raise the limits. I went through ALL the paperwork again just to have you call me after the fact when you CLOSED customer service just to be told "I'm sorry, that's more than we can do in a week." THREE people handled this, one being a supervisor!When this is all over you can bet we're leaving Sphero. I had an SCTELCO account for over 13 years and never experienced these problems.If you're reading this review, STAY CLEAR of this credit union! Customer service has went completely downhill. They're nice until you need help

Worst bank ever. I wish SCTelco never sold to them. A fraudulent charge was put on my card and at least they caught it but I've had to make multiple phone calls to get a new one and find out when it will arrive. 7 to 15 days?!?! Same thing happened with SCTelco, I received 1 five minute phone call and had a new card the next day. I will be closing my account ASAP

Joined to have a joint account with my husband. I never received good customer service. Long lines, no drive through service and lack of engagement when calling. ?

This institution just doesn't seem to work well with some members. I've had accounts opened with Spero for almost 10 years, yet I've been waiting on a call back from a banker for 3 days now. I feel very much under-appreciated as a customer.

Started financing my car through them and when I got it set up they were suppose to automatically withdraw the payment out but instead they hit me with a late penalty for saying my bank info didn’t come thru at the last minute after the date that their suppose to pull the transaction

This was supposed to be a co-op for my credit union where I could the atm without a surcharge. However, I was going to be charged a surcharge. I avoided the surcharge because I was not allowed to access my account. I'm guessing it is a good place to bank, the small parking lot was pretty full.

Spero is absolutely the Best!I would never use a regular big business bank. Spero make you feel safe, appreciated, and everyone is always super helpful!

I had a credit card expire, and did not receive the replacement card. The card was issued weeks ago, so I was told. I've tried to resolve this problem 3 times so far, and still have not received the new card. Maybe someone did, but it wasn't me. No one at Spero seems to get that there is a card out there somewhere. The response is always the same; you'll get it at some point. Very disappointing.

Ever since S.C. Telco merged with Spero customer service has been terrible. For a not for profit credit union they try and charge fees for a lot of things that were free before. Seems they are mostly interested in making a profit. Not sure who benefits from being a member. Would quess management is doing well with the margins they have.

First, they started "automatically" deducting money for paper statements with no prior permission or approval from us. When I called, because our HELOC is in my wife's name, they said my wife would have to call and change to electronic statements. On a recent mortgage loan we applied for with another company, they refused to update the credit report of the HELOC to the loan company. As soon as we pay of the small HELOC, I will NEVER deal with Spero Financial again!

Unfortunately our former credit union merged and formed SPERO Financial. We had been with our former credit union since the 70's, when the name was Owens Corning Fiberglas Credit Union. We staked with this credit union because all these many years we were entirely satisfied. The employees were personable and friendly and knew us by name. They treated us as if they actually CARED that we banked with them. For 46 years we were treated this way!! Then came the merger...what a mess! They are bad about returning calls. The "right hand doesn't know what the left is doing". They LIE and do NOT do what they say they will do. We have had so many problems in the 13 months since the merger it is unbelievable. We have had more problems in this 13 MONTHS than we had in 46 years before the merger. SPERO does not appreciate customers or care if they lose them. Regardless of the fact that they have had use of our money and had customers who have never caused any issues, they don't care if you stay or leave. We are now looking for another credit union.
