One of the worst experiences that I had in my life for the third year now , I bout the house me and my partner as joint tenants . My partner died on 9/15/21 then I became the only person on the deed , the mortgage loan was only under my partner’s name , I called them to transfer my name on the loan as I became the survivor of the ownership, they asked me to send them copy of my partner’s death certificate. And copy of the deed with my name on it and they said that they would transfer my name upon receiving the documents , I sent them the document but they never transferred my loan under my name I had to call them for the following four month to find out that they denied to transfer my name and they denied to respond in writing .Last July and Aug without my knowledge they started charging me extra $375.00 on the top of the mortgage monthly amount claiming that I didn’t have home insurance it took me hours calling them and faxing them my insurance paper that I already had home insurance , my insurance agent also spent with them several hours on the phone and she also faxed them the home insurance paper, until finally they agreed to stop charging me for home insurance , and they promised to refund by check me $1600 that they billed me wrongly , they stopped billing me for the home insurance but they never gave me my $1600 back They put it back to the escrow account which I requested them to remove .The next surprise after that they started billing me for my property tax , without me authorizing them to pay the property tax , they billed me monthly $589 for my property tax while it should be $485 , I spent several hours with them on the phone last week and this week trying to have them billing me for my property tax , but all my calls went in vain I was paying $1025 monthly mortgage since we bought the house in 2013 until last year , then July and Aug and Sept last year they increase my bill to $1398 Monthly claiming falsely that I didn’t have insurance , when they stopped billing me for the insurance they immediately started charging me for taxes with the wrong amounts , now the monthly mortgage that I have to pay them by force $1808.00 almost double I was paying before , I explained to the. That I was 66 years old disable and asked them to stop paying my taxes and to refund me all the amounts they wrongly charged me , but they operate like if they were in a different country with a different law , the have team on nasty unfriendly team of customers service who are licensed and trained to rip you off, and to push you toward foreclosure as fast as they can , they should be investigated and disciplined and retrained to be able to help the public specially the older disabled ones like me.Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing and it’s team that they licensed to steal are the worst and I don’t recommend them , It’s been nightmare dealing with them last three years since my partner died , every time they had different answer and different promises lies after lied, they cause me a big financial hardship with all those extra wrong amount that they charged me and refuse to refund back , and unfortunately , the law is not punishing them for that abuse.

It has honestly been an absolute pleasure working with Shell point. We have been with them for just over a year now, and of the few that we have been through since we have been purchasing our house, they have been the best. Always super helpful, and knowledgeable, and have fantastic resources for a multitude of different things.

Very disorganized and unresponsive mortgage servicing company.Somehow they got my SS# on my loan incorrect and because of their mistake I was forced to jump through numerous hoops to correct their mistake.Have had other issues also. Looking to refi asap to get away from these hassles.

Just began working with Shellpoint to reinstate my loan and so far it's off to a good start. In today's disconnected society it's nice to take comfort that there are still companies out there who "truly" care about helping their customers especially those on the brink of losing their home due to unseen circumstances. This company is very bad company please don’t get mortgage from them. You will pay for more money and get big headaches if I can give them noon star I will. I called this company service 09/30/23 for paid off my mortgage amount is 4348.88$ from my Bank of America account . I said pay off my mortgage..But they separated my payment put one is monthly payment 1702.68$ and one is principal payment 2646.20$. And October 2 , they auto charged me another monthly payment 1702.68$ from my chase bank account. I called them company, then I got refund 2982.39$ on October 20. This is not right amount. Should be my Escrow 1804.29$ and over charged 1702.68$ total will be 3506.98$. I still should get 524.59$. I saw payments history they sent to me 11/1 the charged me 524.65$ for payoff that is not right .after this happened I can’t go through my account and they deleted my account from them.I already paid off 9/30/23. I called many times then they told me need send e-mail , I did .then wait too long no response . I have to called back then they told me need send fax , I did send everythiing including my bank statements. But over 3 months still they don’t want fix problems.The service people some very rude and not friendly. Never try to help !! some times I waited a hour then cut off.bad experience

I have a perfect credit score until our mortgage got bought by this company. We have bank statements and proof of payment so I currently have a dispute open with the credit bureau. Absolutely ridiculous
