I have frequented this Ace often this past week for a home project. They always have what I need and with the coupons in the app I can get things more cheaply than at Home Depot.

I tried to support the new Ace in Greer however, I had 2 incidents one that was over a refund not being posted to my bank account, the so called assistant manager Judy was beyond rude and I had to contact the accounting dept to have it settled and then I still had to return the store for a cash refund.
The other incident was over this store assuring me they offered a 10% Veteran’s discount to compete with the big box stores. When I tried to purchase a $1500.00 Weber grill I was told Weber did not offer the discount however buying the Weber grill from the big box store they did give the 10%. This tells me it’s not Weber it’s Ace. For these reasons I will not be shopping at this or any other Ace stores.

I had an outstanding experience at Classic Ace Hardware of Greer, thanks to Wes! He was incredibly knowledgeable about Stihl products and went above and beyond to help me find the perfect trimmer. If you’re in the market for any Stihl equipment, I highly recommend visiting this Ace Hardware — their expertise and customer service are top-notch.

Very rude customer service at checkout. They look at you with this hateful look and behavior. The only reason I stop in , it's convenient. That's it, it's convenient, otherwise not good experience.

They have extremely friendly staff. They do small things like ask if they can carry things for you, fill lawn tools up with gas, and ask if you need help. This store is always the first place I check for home improvement items.

I used to like this Ace, and I love going to Ace instead of the bigger stores. They have more novelty items, they're smaller and easier to shop, and this one is the closest hardware store to my house. But the last handful of times, it's been like I'm invisible when I visit.
One of the managers was paged several times to help me with something. When he finally came, he just stood in front of me fiddling with a part without even acknowledging me. I ended up needing to make an appointment for the next morning. When I did, I had to wait another 15-30 minutes for the same guy to respond to several pages again even though I had an appointment.
I watched several customers become irate because they weren't getting the help they needed or were having to wait.
I went again today. They were super busy, and there was a long line, but they had several cashiers. I took my purchase to the cashier to pay for it. He was all wrapped up in the other tasks and conversations he was having with the other workers. Then, without explanation or promise to return, he just walked away from me! I put my item back on the shelf and left. I ordered Door Dash from Lowe's instead.
I understand being busy, but I don't think completely ignoring customers works as a good business practice. I think the facility itself is overcrowded and they seem to be understaffed. Management is clearly not good there right now.
This store needs some attention!

I purchased a STIHL 271 farm boss during a special where that saw came with a carrying case and hat. Judy would not honor the special even though the kit was brought up with the saw. I showed her where the deal was still on the website and she told me they were out of the kits. When I pointed out the kit sitting on the floor next to her where she had just picked my saw up from, she told me that was not what it was even though it was written on the side of the box.
