My car needed 3 very minor fixes. It took months and repeated phone calls for Steven to get the work done. Cathy who answers the phone very professionally and politely did return a phone call and Steven returned one. Although I was furious for not returning my calls, I really appreciated that they finally completed these 3 small tasks and in one day.

I've had two vehicles worked on at this location and had difficulties each time. First vehicle was my 2019 Mustang, I was having some body panel work done due to some scratches and after leaving over spray on other panels and windows. Vehicle was garage kept and when returned to me was covered in pollen and when i asked if they could at least clean it and return it in the condition it was given to them the offered to spray it off with a hose out back, also this being after multiple trips for them fixing the overspray on the vehicle over a week or so period of time, going to and from the shop. Second vehicle 2010 BMW x3, headlights and other miscellaneous things were to be replaced. Vehicle was returned with one headlight replaced and the other headlights Low beam no longer functional. When I inspected (after being denied repair) I found that the wiring was exposed to only copper and two wires being held together but a uncut zip tie tucked into the back of the headlight, and the headlight bulb itself was not even in the headlight but instead just resting inside the hole. I was told that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle multiple times and denied any repairs.

Warranty paint job looks good and car was cleaned before being returned to me. Customer service is the reason for 1 star. Service manager never returns a call even after he said he would. Wouldn’t even come out during pick to make sure I was satisfied with the job.

The Greer, SC location first lost my family members quote estimating the repair cost. The 2nd estimate which we received was then roughly $350 (did NOT include labor cost estimates - did not realize this until after the final bill was paid).
When the car repairs were complete, front desk tried to say my family member first needed to pay her deductible - which was over $1K. Upon calling insurance, USAA, staff relented and then presented a bill for $700. Staff told USAA the bill was $600 (per our insurance adjuster) but my family paid $700 (bill paid in full). Realized they replaced the impact bar without asking/informing us, and there was an additional $120 charge. First we were told it was for “tooling” then it was an “impact bar” and now the final explanation is “diagnostics.” Please note management has not offered additional explanation or a refund. Our insurance adjuster had to contact the repair shop, which is how we finally received an itemized bill. Staff were condescending and rude to my family when we continuously asked what was going on.
The fact that this Greer location acted this way (condescending and rude in general) and to a military family no less, is ridiculous. Please note we do have documentation to support this review, and have sent to corporate. Please be aware of the shady business practices that occur at this location. Shameful.

First they lost my entire estimate and had to start the process over. But then they tried to not tell me the cost of repairs and charge me my entire deductible instead, which was much higher than the cost of repairs. And included in the cost was a miscellaneous charge that no one could identify for me and will be disputed with my adjuster.
Overall a very shady place

Their service is bad, it's terrible. 3 weeks ago I went to Gerber Collision to get a quote on my car repair but they told me they only accepted by appointment. I returned the next day after the appointment and a girl treated me in a bad manner but the worst thing is that after 3 weeks I have not received the quote that was supposed to arrive by email.

Horrible service and unprofessional and careless staff! I had to make so many calls to schedule the repair service in early December and the reception lady is so difficult to reach because she was either not at work or just wouldn't pick up the phone. Anyway after so many stressful communications the lady scheduled me for an appointment on Jan 23 with claim#, RO#, estimate fee and everything. Today (Jan 22) I called again to ensure things are in process BUT the same lady at reception told me there was never an appointment so I had to start it all over again! She is so careless, rude and unprofessional. People should never choose this company!

I was involved in a fender bender in December. My insurance company directed us to Gerber. Every part of the process was quick, efficient, and professional. The front end of my Chrysler 300 looks good as new. I was very pleased with the entire experience.
