A coworker of mine and I visited this store after his phone screen stopped working. Nov. 18 about 6pm is when we went into the store. I believe Valerie was the young woman that helped us. She went above and beyond to get his information transferred to his new device. She was awesome and even helped another customer while assisting us. I hope I remembered her name, she was awesome!

This Verizon is NEVER worth my time i don’t know why I still continue to walk in there. They NEVER have anything I need it’s always “we will have to order it” or “try Florence Verizon” it’s so pathetic. They should have there OWN merchandise… I shouldn’t have to go to another store because you won’t take your time to order what I came in the store for. I’ve been coming in here for 2 years and it’s ALWAYS been like this … I’ve never walked in and got what I needed without being told to go to another Verizon . definitely will not be returning this time !

Me and my family have been a customer of Verizon almost 3yrs now. I can still remember the 1st time I walked into the Hartsville Store. If it wasn't for the associate name James working there that morning I most likely would of left an went elsewhere. James help me pick out the perfect phone's for my family with the best data plan to fit our wallets. Well lastnite my daughter forgot her phone on top of the car an it got broke so this morning we went to Verizon in Hartsville but they weren't opened and I called the store in Florence an no answer there either. Come to find out, James turned in his keys and so did a bunch of other employees that worked at different stores that James visited. They seem that after 3yrs that James worked there he should of been promoted to Manager but the New Guys that bought out a few of the Verizon stores wanted James to train a female they were bringing in to be the new store manager when it clearly should have been James Store considering all he has done for the company and his Dedication and kindness not only to the customers but to his fellow employees as well. I WILlL BE TRANSFERING MY FAMILIES CELLULAR SERVICE ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS SINCE JAMES IS NO LONGER A EMPLOYEE OF VERIZON/RUSSELL CELLULAR. A BOSS THAT DOES THAT TO HIS LOYAL EMPLOYEES CAN FORGET MY BUSINESS THERE ALL TOGETHER!!!!

Below is what i used to think of this store,1 star is harsh but they would not allow 1 and a half. This store has drastically changed. Below where i discussed the wait time and how it used to be a minor inconvenience it has now become unbearable. Ive been a few days in A row to see James about upgrading and i can never get to him or ms jamie without waiting hours. Came back today, James was busy Jamie wasnt there and the poor boy was swamped. In the past ive seen him multitask and it was a sight to behold. Very fluid no wasted time or motion. He wasnt moving like that today, he just looked sad, tired, and haggard. When i finally got a chance to talk to him i found out why. James informed me that a new manager was starting Monday. I was shocked because i assumed he already was the manager, the way he carries himself and his extensive knowledge projected leadership. Well james informed me he wasnt even offered an interview. This young man is wasting a lot of talent at this "russel cellular", it broke my heart to see him so down. He told me he was under the impression that he would of been promoted because hes already been doing the extra stuff a manager has to do. I will not be returning. I pray this young man realizes his immense talent and finds something else. One needs to only scroll through the positive reviews to see who keeps that store running. taking 2 stars off for the wait and 2 more off for the poor treatment of this young man. It broke my heart seeing someone who usually is so cheerful and happy look so depressed and defeated. Its an hour drive to the hville store, ill never make it again.

James is very friendly and knowledgeable. He goes the extra mile with a smile telling you what is going on the whole time. Will absolutely go back if I run into trouble but hopefully they will have some help for them. You definitely have two great employees working for you so far.
