I was charged extra for gas despite returning the vehicle with more fuel than it had when I picked it up. And the price point was $9.89/gal. I don’t know if it’s an intentional way of squeezing money out of customers and hoping they don’t realize or simply incompetence but it is frustrating! Vehicle was fine, no issues otherwise.

Car was delivered dirty and windshield was foggy made for poor visibility. I had to purchase products to clean all windows. Returned the vehicle and expressed my concerns about how they take care of the vehicles they provide to customers . He could care less.

Terrible experience. Gave me a huge van vice sedan I reserved. Said I could switch next day at local Budget. Called 20 times, no answer, called reservations, no help, called customer service, no help. Big van in a strange town. Goodbye Budget.

There was no windshield washer fluid in the reservoir. The gas tank was literally on empty when we picked it up. We had agreed to only match the amount of gas in the tank, but nobody warned us that we would have to find a gas station as soon as we left the airport. Literally, the fuel light went on as soon as we left the airport. I am not exaggerating. And when we told the clerk, upon return, he didn’t care. Not gonna rent from this place again.We asked for a Volkswagen Jetta and got a Dodge charger instead. It’s a nice engine, but the tech on it was very old. Couldn’t even get a map on the screen for navigation and there was no way to safely mount my cell phone so that I could use the GPS on my phone. Never again!

Booked my car before travelling from the UK to pick up inSavannah Airport but after reading the reviews I changed the pick up location to Hilton Head Island Airport and took an Uber over. Hands down the best $25 I spent. No line, fanatic staff and free upgrade to Dodge Charger! I would highly recommend this to anyone travelling to Savannah in the future ?

Had a reservation, booked in advance, showed up and they had zero cars. Lady was extremely rude. I understand she is stressed due to the circumstances, but there is no reason to get nasty from the start.Update 25Jul- Called Budget corporate and reported the incident. They provided a coupon for a free 2 day rental car and said the staff at Hilton Head location is known for their lack of professionalism and will be placed on warning shortly. Wow! Good company bad franchise I guess.

I pre-paid $661 for a standard vehicle and I only used it for 5 1/2 days. I have to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas in perfect working order. I was charging on explicable $250 on top of the money I had already paid.In addition, my flight was delayed and I could not pick up my vehicle because the budget facility was closed at the airport at 5 PM. I spoke to someone on chat, GPT, and they never added notes to my record or deducted any amount from my rental. This is a terrible business.

Rented a car and it smelled like piss and had a low tire and they charged me to return it for another car. I would recommend to go somewhere else to rent a car. They don’t care about their clients. Bad customer service.

Front desk agent was very unprofessional. When we arrived at Hilton Head we checked in with her to get our car. Her response was we had to wait 25-30 mins for our reservation which is fine. 30 mins later I went in to check in again and she laughed at me for having the audacity to ask if our car was ready after waiting prescribed amout of time. She said "like I told you, you will have to wait". Again she said it would be 30 mins giving no explanation as to why there was such a delay for a reserved car. 30 mins later car is finally ready. She said she only has one car available though and asked if that was OK but failed to tell us it would be an extra 10 dollars a day even though it was the ONLY car they had and we had a reservation. Save your time and frustration and look elsewhere...

Horrible! We prepaid 3 weeks ago for a car, when we arrived we were told they had NO cars and we were 2 hours late(we were working) so we were CHARGED for an upgrade and given a very loud sports car that took double the gas. The car was given to us with only 3/4 tank of gas .We were told sorry. Also, only offered to refund the upgrade charge. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

We rented a vehicle from the Budget office at Hilton Head International Airport with no issues whatsoever. The people, the process and the vehicle were great.

I was initially given a car that stalled twice once i left the rental agency. I immediately returned (within 15 minutes) and was given a different vehicle. Unfortunately i was charged, without my knowledge, an additional $30.99 for “loss damage waiver” that i did not authorize. My bill doubled!! I plan to contact Budget to challenge the unauthorized fee.

Bait and switch rental company. Had a mid-sized vehicle reserved, and was told that it wasn't available, but I could either take a more expensive car or sit at the airport until a car comes in. Was told the wait could be 10 minutes or days. Not worth the lower advertised price.Tried to leave a 1 star, but the Budget page wouldn't let me

100% recommend it. We had an easy check in and Drop off services. Friendly staff and the car that we had was amazing. I loved it.
