    A great island treasure and important piece of Gullah culture.

    It is an one room school house used to educate the Gullah children on Hilton Head Island. Currently it is an annex to a church.
  • February 2019
    This is a one-room schoolhouse built in the 1930s for the children of the Gullah community on the north end of the Island. It is now an historic site.
