Stay away from them in all costs, especially if you need some sort of line of credit and you may need to partner with the bank in time sensitive matters. I have a cash value line of credit with them and they are extremely unresponsive and they dont care about the urgency of your projects. Russell Bolton, who manages that department is rude, unresponsive and miles away from being a professional person. Looking for the first opportunity to leave this bank just because of the unprofessional behavior of this department.

CON: Very limited information and options on their website. This requires contacting a representative again and again to obtain the information for infrequent transactions. The default answer given is sometimes irrelevant to information requested and would incur needless fees, resulting in multiple emails.PRO: You can reach a live human being on the phone within business hours for EST on MOST weekdays. As good as that sounds keep in mind that most often you will leave a message to receive a return phone call which could roll over to the next business day.

Don’t ever try to put in checks on the weekend- North end doesn’t accept time checks and the South end touch screen doesn’t work- complete waste of time. Fix this please!!!!!!

Rhonda - I hope I got your name right! - at the Bethelview branch in Cumming, GA is amazing! She was on the ball helping me with suspicious international charges on my debit card. Back up and running in no time! Very pleasant, courteous and helpful. much better and faster customer service than a national bank would have ever given... got through to a live person without going through a ridiculous menu and no hold times. Would recommend Foothills/Coastals State Bank over a national chain ANYDAY! Thank you for going above and beyond! I would give a 15/10 stars if possible. Never going back to a fee/surcharge/no help national chain bank again!

These people are TERRIBLE to work with. I would never deal with these folks ever again on any mortgage deal. I would definitely look elsewhere there are way better people to deal with.

I have had a great experience in my career of living in 14 cities. I would rate coastal states bank, their culture, staff associates, and executive leadership as the best banking experience one could find. I don't have $1 million on account but every time I go there I'm treated as if I do.

CoastStates has been my bank for over 7 years after I had had enough of the Big Bank run-around and poor service. They have been nothing short of awesome. Their customer service is very personable and you can tell that they truly care about pleasing their customers. Most any business could learn from their expert care and client retention.
