We all liked our room. Beach access was good. I would suggest looking at where your room. Is located within the complex. The rooms are perpendicular to the beach so u could end up in a unit that is much further from the ocean andpool. We would consider returning to this place. Older complex but still nice.

My husband and I have stayed at many resorts in the last eight years we have been retired and never had a bad experience until we stayed here. We were not told e-bikes could not be on the property, so we had to park outside the property with the bikes locked on to the vehicle bike rack. We had to walk in and out carrying all of our luggage and groceries. Not once did the security people who rode all over the property in their little carts offer to help. We expressed our disappointment with the front desk and were told to contact the owner of the unit. We did that and he told us he wasn’t aware of this policy? We expressed our disappointment and he told us he wasn’t going to get into a (pissing) match with us. The unit looked nothing like the pictures on this web site. The couch was like sitting on a plastic bucket. The bed was so broken down, it felt like you were going to roll out of it. The person above us was constantly out on his deck smoking and the smoke drifted into our unit if we left the patio door open. There is a no smoking policy supposedly, but is not enforced. The unit we got stuck in was 109 building C. The entire facility is old, outdated and has that run down appearance. This is the first negative review I have ever written, but I feel it’s my duty to warn all others thinking about staying here. There are way better places to stay and the area is a beautiful place to visit and vacation. Just don’t stay here, you’ll be disappointed!

I concur with some of the previous reviewers about the lack of handicap access. You do NOT want to select this facility if you have someone that needs a walker or wheelchair to get around. First, there are only 2 or 3 marked handicap spaces for each building of around 170 units each. Then, even if you get lucky, from the handicap spaces it is a 30+ yard up ramp just to get to the one elevator available. After that it depends on your room location. We were in B319. After the elevator, it required another 100 yard walk with 2 sets of double doors, always closed, to deal with every single trip back and forth. Not to mention the double doors require you open and hold both sides in order for the luggage carts to pass Thankfully we had some kind folks help us with the doors a couple times. There are other negative things we experienced during our stay, but they were explained and apologized by guest services and I don't have any proof to dispute their explanation. Suffice it to say it involved the security dept and was either very bad communication among the staff (their explanation) or some false complaint was reported by a neighbor. Not to mention the cleaning fee, resort fee, reservation fee, parking fee etc. etc. Doubling the per night fee you first see on their website. Then have the nerve to ask you to please tote your trash bags outside to the dumpster before leaving, What??

These are owned condo's and not a Hotel. Resort does not control decorative and styling of each unit. They only help with the renting process for the owners. Admiral Row Building is are the 2 Br Units that are right on beach - Awesome Room with 2 Baths and views of ocean. Amazing amenities - stayed at AR 442 via vrbo

Don't stay here if you are a biker. We were not told electric bikes could not be on the grounds. That said, we were told when we arrived that they could stay on our car bike rack. Three days later we were told we couldn't enter the property with them on the car. We had to walk in for the rest of our stay. We were told electric bikes were a fire Hazzard, yet an all electric car parked right outside our unit. There are electric bikes all over the great bike paths in Hilton Head and many many much nicer places to stay. We love the area, but will definitely not stay at this backwards place . It's old, outdated, and the people at the entry gate are very unfriendly and act like they are county sheriff!

You have to be kidding me! Our friends are staying there and we came to pick them up to take them for dinner. The management wanted us to pay $25 just to go through the gate to get them!! And we'd have to do that every time. Ridiculous, and just wrong.
