I set up and paid for a rental in mid-August for our September trip. A week before, I no longer needed the rental so I emailed my cancellation, then followed up with a call when I didn’t get a response (the phone wasn’t answered.) I also sent a message through their website. I cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the rental, per their policy.When we checked into our house, the rental had been dropped off, so I went to the office in person. I explained what happened, and the employee insisted they never received my emails and that someone should have picked up the phone if I had called. I pulled up the email on my phone, she confirmed it had been sent to the right address and took a screenshot to send to the manager. Since it was Labor Day weekend, she asked that I give her a few days for the refund to be processed and the bike picked up, which was no problem.Our entire two week stay no one picked up the rental or responded to my follow-up, and I have not been refunded. I’ve now had to submit a dispute to my credit card company.I’ll never rent from them again.

Their prices are high. The average weekly rental bike on the island is around 40.00 now, but they are charging 60.00. PLUS they add on 3.5% of your total bill for a Processing fee and then again another 3.5% of your total bill as a Maintenance fee. Neither of these fees were disclosed prior to renting nor could they be found on the website. I consider this to be deceptive, so beware.

This is by far the friendliest and best place to rent a bike in Sea Pines. I had an issue with a trailer I brought from home and the owner took his time to help me fix it. Also their bikes are always in great condition and the team of people are super friendly. I wouldn’t rent anywhere else.

We went here looking for Electric bike.They have alot of bike but not Electric one.The lady at the front desk was very nice.

Customer service didnt care when I called to tell them that I was charged for four days and the bike was picked up on 3rd day. On top of that bike had ripped up handle bar and didn’t steer well?

Always empty. Rented bikes by walk up because we were within walking distance and didn't want to wait days for bike delivery. Had to stop three times to actually see an employee. Was told we had to return bikes on our due date by 5:00 or we would be charged an extra day. We returned at 4:00 and shocker, no employees. We stopped the next morning at 10:00 on our way out....again, no employees. We'll see if we get charged. Find another bike rental service.

Very impressed with this company. Calling to make the reservation was a breeze. Marie was so patient and kind to help my family and I decide on whether or not the adult 3-wheel bike was the best choice for us to rent for our situation and later, when a decision had been reached on what to reserve, Miriam was so pleasant to work with in getting everything arranged. Grant was extremely kind to boot when we called to extend our reservation an extra day. All around a great experience that made our trip truly positively memorable. Thanks Peddling Pelican!

Peddling Pelican was an excellent Bike Rental company! The bike rental establishment owned by the SeaPines was sold out for days in a row. Thankfully, Peddling Pelican was inside the SeaPines resort and was a short walk from our villa! I placed a reservation on the phone for a rental to begin the following day. She provided me a code to unlock the bikes for when I am ready to pick them up. I received a text message that my bike was ready to pick up the same day a couple of hours later! Picking up the bike was easy! Our bikes were already outside and locked up. I just signed the clip board acknowledging that I've picked up our bikes, unlocked our bikes and went on our merry way! Dropping off was even easier! We dropped it off after hours so an attendant was not there. We just signed the sheet of paper up front noting that we are returning the bikes and the contract # to our agreement (email copy was provided at the time of the rental purchase), locked up our bikes again, and left! We were so thankful for Peddling Pelican! We would not have been able to get to so many places on SeaPines within Hilton Head without our bikes!

Excellent experience. Stayed just a block or two away, went by, got our bikes, rode them for a few days, returned them with ease. Got a lock and a basket for each bike. No problems. No worries. No games. No BS. Just a rental with a time frame that worked out well. You'd be an idiot to go elsewhere. But then again there's plenty of idiots in this world. For them, go somewhere else, play games, get nickel and dimed over being late 10 minutes, have substandard equipment rented to you, and deal with the BS.

We had a successful experience renting bikes for our family here. The bikes were comfortable beach cruisers and everything went as well as we hoped. We rode all over the place and everyone loved it. They are well located so naturally they may be busy so try to book ahead of time and you won't be disappointed. I thought the prices were very reasonable.

Worst service and extremely rude. Better to have your bikes delivered by another company. The bikes are old and staff is rude.

Top notch customer service! We rent bikes and a crib from Peddling Pelican every year. This year one of my daughters jumped into the crib and cracked the wood slats under the crib. I called the office manager to let them know that we had an accident, and offered to pay to replace the crib. The manager not only refused my payment to replace the crib, but they swapped out our crib for a new one immediately. I never expect a handout, and I'm very appreciative of how the staff at Peddling Pelican handled this situation. We will continue to rent any & all things from them!
