The resort was a bit outdated however the staff at the timeshare prentation were profession, friendly, and welcoming especially Laura and Megan.

If you want the WORST customer service in the timeshare industry, go to Spinnaker. If you want to be lied to time and time again, buy into Spinnaker. Owner since 2015 and I will never ever support them again.

Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. Customer service/Sales and Marketing team is so unprofessional. We purchased a package to Hilton Head. Tried to book our vacation and spent a couple of weeks getting one booked. Isue was was there were initially unable to accommodate a handicap. We told them we were going to reach out to the ADA, but somehow there were able to get us a room. Now that were booked and ready to go, they kept calling and nagging on when we were goinng to arrive to the resort as their office closed at 5pm. Totally ridiculous.Long story short definitely read the fine print before buying from these phonies. Definitely not worth it and will never purchase a thing from them again.

Lindsey Wilson acknowledged my complaint on/around 5/5/23.I thought this was great, I'd finally get some help out of this and she'd do the right thing!Around 5/15/23 we had a phone conversation and she informed me she'd take the lengthy notes from our conversation in front of the board on 5/16/23. I didn't hear back from her for about 2-3 weeks. 6/21 she finally responded- "I did get the opportunity to present your file at the Developer Review Council meeting. After a thorough review of your file and the information you provided, the Developer could not find reason to grant you a release from your contract with Spinnaker Resorts. During the deeding process with the Verification Officer, we ask very specific questions to assure that all expectations are met and to mitigate any confusion. Without the knowledge of your expectation(s) that were discussed with your Sales Representative, we cannot guarantee any of the 'promises' that are/were made. Resale is never guaranteed with any transaction with Spinnaker Resorts and the success or lack thereof is not contingent on your purchase with us as outlined in the acknowledgements portion of your contract. If you are still interested in relieving yourself of your ownership with Ocean Sands, I have attached a transfer form to this email that can be filled out and returned to me either electronically or by mail to the address below. The fee that the transfer company has quoted to transfer that property is $965.00 and the maintenance fees must be paid until the transfer is completed. I can't give you an exact timeline for the transfer to complete, but I can tell you that it will transfer eventually. It just depends on the resort and how quickly you can pay the transfer fee and get over the necessary documents to the transfer company. We work with one of the few reputable companies out there as I'm sure you're aware that there are many that are not. Additionally, if you would like some help with getting a reservation that will work for you with your Spinnaker week, you can contact our Owner Services department at (877)842-3201." She told me all they could do is help with "listing" my timeshare but no one wants to buy this crap. I told her I'd willingly sign my rights over to Spinnaker and they can list and still keep the profit but I've not heard back from her. Take this as a fair warning to all. Don't do business with Spinnaker. They upsell you and leave you out the dust as soon as it's over. They only care about $$$.

I do not recommend this resort. While it's true that the condos they show to sell you may be nicer, they get you to fly across the country only to stay in a Motel 6 type of room. Seriously, this is not the way you should welcome guests to your "resort". Very, very disappointing. Not very classy.

Nick Heyward and his staff are tremendous. Had a reservation issue on arrival after a 12 hour drive, on a holiday weekend. Nick had the potentially major issue resolved in a half hour.

Calling this a resort is a huge stretch of the imagination. You are better off staying at a Comfort Inn.

Geez, this place is a dump. When we got to our unit I did a fast inspection. The tub was filthy, hairs and dirt clearly visible. I called the front desk and was told no one was available, they would notify maintenance. No one called or came by to do anything. I stopped at the desk an hour later. The same man that took my call told me he could not do anything. He gave me a bottle of cleaner and a roll of paper towels. Had it been my call we would have left, my wife did not want to load the car. I cleaned the tub myself to Army standards, it was filthy. I can't believe it was left like that for guests. Looked like someone had shaved. Later on, in the evening we filled the tub up. The hot water ran out and would not be enough to fill it up. What good is a large whirlpool tub without hot water? The furniture is really uncomfortable and makes our backs hurt. The next day a lady came by with coupons for local restaurants. They tried to sell us a timeshare LOL. The place screamed rip off. Who would pay for that? We left early and will never go back. Don't waste your time with that brand. They are all the same. Look for solid ratings, nothing worse than checking into a lousy place. Be warned. Hilton Head is a beautiful island, you want a clean comfortable place.

Wonderful accommodations! Close to many restaurants and golf is exceptional. Just be ready for lot’s of Alligators!

It sure how my original review got deleted but here are the stats.I'm giving 2 stars for employee staffing & ambianceQuality: Lacking at best. The beds sleep very nice but the comfort doesn't go much farther.I think if they cleaned the floors right before renting, repainted/plasters the walls, and upgraded the plumbing/showers the experience would be much better. Pricing: Hmmm. Kind of Okay if coming to HHI for the first time due to a timeshare presentation but too high at the market value. The timeshare value gives you back some spending money in gifts and if your a future billionaire diva like me (poorpreneur) you can appreciate cheap travel to exotic places. So I do like that they include perks but the presentation was 45 mins longer than the 1.5 hours they said was the max and the backed up showers offset any other perks. Location: Hilton Head Island. Great atmosphere, wonderful employees in almost every venue/store, eateries and restaurants with fresh food, good drinks, and quality meals. Some businesses seem off putting and are unwelcoming to certain types of clients but overall it's a beautiful place to relax.

We bought our week with Spinnaker at Southwind when it was under construction it is still as enjoyful and relaxing as I remember it when I was much younger I was disappointed this year to hear that they let the golf discount program contract run out I would give it six stars if I could.

A little dated but the rooms were adequate, and they had plenty of activities. The path to the beach was easy to follow and was only about 15 mins walk. We took our toddler in a wagon with our towels, etc and it worked out great.They had bean bag toss and a a couple play grounds, and several pools. We only had the 5 of us, but we'd still have had plenty of space in our condo, even if we'd have had a full house in our 3BR.

Furniture was really dated. Screens were missing and on the ground. Exterior lights were hanging loose and practically falling off the wall. Exterior needed painting. Would be a great unit with some needed attention.
