Strange having the pool area downstairs. Seems at risk for an accident. Facilities were clean but pool area seemed very old and not well maintained. Hot tub had lots of grit and crumbling on the floor

The fitness center is probably the best amenity of the whole resort. Plenty of equipment and room to workout. Although the ceiling of the pool is and eye sore, and according to the reviews it has been like that for years, with some kind of foamy looking insulation or something covering it. Anyway other than that, great place to workout!

My husband and I were worried when we read the reviews but decided to keep an open mind and give it a chance. We didn't even sit on the bed. The first thing we saw upon opening the door was a dead roach in the bathroom. Next, a live granddaddy long leg spider on the shower curtain. We also noticed a broken lamp beside the bed. We walked out and stayed elsewhere.

Horrible just a horrible experience. All of the one ratings are correct display smells, it has bugs, it's all in dated, they serve coffee but no cream no sugar nothing to stir with. I would not recommend anyone signing a contract with this company.

This place owns the time share we were misfortune to book. Thus this company I must rate low because of its cheapness and bean counting mentality. Disgusting and greedy. BUT the section of this compound around the pool is upgraded for those laying hard cash rather than exchanging their timeshare week to stay here. Oops if only I'd known....

Hotel was clean but dated. It needs more outlets for chargers. It also had a terrible cleaning service, there was no clean towels and the trash was not changed. The indoor pool was closed for covid and same for the fitness center. Most hotels are offering at limited access. Just a little more effort and it would be a nice place to stay.

May 29 - June 3, 2021. The hotel has a medium-sized swimming pool and a kiddie pool. No restrooms at the pool! This guarantees that the kiddies and probably many adults also are peeing in said pool rather than walking wet back to their hotel room for a toilet. Purportedly there is also an indoor heated pool and hot tub at the fitness center ... but the Fitness Center has been closed since March 2020 so that was of no use to us. There are very nice tennis courts on the property we were excited to see upon check-in, but those are also of no use to guests. They apparently rent out the courts to a tennis academy rather than allowing their guests any benefit therefrom. Happily there are four free tennis courts across the road which we enjoyed using instead and only learned about through SR Hotel. The room itself was fine. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, it provided the basic minimum needs for a place to sleep while enjoying the island. We were placed here for four nights at a cost of $125 with the added cost of having to listen to a timeshare presentation. Immediately they angered us by telling us it was our responsibility to arrange our own transportation to and from the timeshare presentation at Bluewater. After 20 plus years of always driving to the island, we had flown for the first time this year knowing the bike paths make it very easy to get everywhere without a car. Everywhere except Bluewater -- that would have been an hour by bicycle from SR Hotel! So we easily spent $45 on Lyft and Taxi fees and tips to attend this presentation and were not even shown the resort at all. No, I'm not complaining. Yes I am sure I could have asked to spend even more time there by requesting a tour but we wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Our presentation was purely about how if we exchange my current timeshare (inherited week) while purchasing a week at Bluewater we could save about $11,000 on the Bluewater price and would be able to exchange one Bluewater week for three weeks elsewhere through Interval. I was slightly intrigued at the prospect, but husband wasn't buying it at all and we were done with presentation in 20 minutes. Then another 20 minute wait for a taxi. Wow Hilton Head really does not have many Lyft, Uber or taxi drivers at all! It is challenging to get around without a car for things that require more than a bicycle basket, such as to/from the airport. Arrange your airport transport well in advance or wait an hour or longer at airport for a ride to be available. If you aren't renting a bike to get around the island, for sure rent a car or you'll be wasting lots of time waiting for a ride at Hilton Head Island. SR Hotel did provide a service you could call for rides at no fee, just work for tips. Those guys are GREAT but again, limited availability, have to wait your turn in line to get assistance so either rent a bike or rent a car if you are flying to Hilton Head.

it looks nice from the outside but they should tell you that it's been closed since the beginning of the pandemic but it is still part of the silver sneakers gym. Now there is nowhere to work out for silver sneaker members on Hilton Head because they do not want to hire people and socially distance
