Phenomenal!! The pros at Ace Auto took my 16 yr old car and restored her to better than new! She didn’t shine this well and this paint color was not as rich and deep when I drove her off the showroom floor as it is now. They were meticulous with their attention to detail, provided updates and photos of the process and were some of the most pleasant people to work with over the phone and in person. They made me feel that they cared about my car almost as much as I do. The whole process took about a month to complete but the results speak for themselves. I’m in love again!!
There is zero reason to take your car to any of the big chain corporate shops that could care less about your vehicle if you aren’t an insurance company. Support local businesses. It’s evident to me that Ace put their heart and soul into restoring my car to her former glory! Thank you!!

I have a red 88 Mustang convertible LX 5.0 a really nice car. After someone pulled out in front of me the right front bumper and fender and radiator support cracked. I had a shop in Lexington work on it and after the repairs I went to pick it up it was not fixed and it was horrible and they tried to fix it another time and they didn't know what they were doing. The fender still needed repair work it was wavy, bumper. Had holes in the paint and the paint didn't match at all not even close @ ACE I spoke to the owner and asked would he be willing to work on someone else's mess. He said he would and when they called and said it was ready. It was actually ready, the job looked amazing, the lines are stright and gapes are correct, paint matches very well and that is very hard to do with an older car but they did an Extremely Good job and I would recommend them if you want honest Good work. You may not know what to look for after a repair but I do, and they did an excellent job and I am so thankful for the repair. Scott Mount

*Short version of my review*:
ACE came recommended to me by a friend/car professional who I trust and without question I will recommend them to any and everyone in the future.
*Longwinded, detailed version*:
I used Ace Auto Refinishing because a friend who works with cars and whom I trust said if their car needed work they would go to Ace, and they lived up to their glowing recommendation. Everyone was friendly from start to finish, the quote was easy to read and thorough, they communicated with me consistently throughout the process, and set reasonable expectations.
I drive a 2012 BMW that I LOVE. This is the only car (out of 10) that I’ve kept for more than 2 years (currently at 9), and the first accident with this one. I don’t trust my car with just anyone. Unfortunately, my car was hit by another driver in a parking lot and they left the scene. It was at night, so security cameras couldn’t make out the license plate. The other driver dragged their car across the front left corner of mine, damaging the bumper, headlight, sidelight, parking camera cover, fog light, a few clips, and the protective film. I chose to pay to fix my vehicle vs an insurance claim. BMW parts/repairs can be costly and I didn’t need a reason for my rates to go up in this economy. The accident left deep scratches in the headlight so ACE called to ask if I wanted a replacement or for them to be buffed out as much as possible. Based on the age of my car and cost of 2 new lights (because 1 new and 1 old wouldn’t be okay with me), I chose buffing but asked for the other light to be buffed as well so they would match. They look beautiful! And unexpectedly, the bumper had to be replaced due to protective film that was coming off in a broken eggshell fashion. I was expecting this change to skyrocket my quote, but it didn’t!
I know every inch of my car, so when I went to pick it up I looked the whole car over. The only flaw I saw looked like it was from the new bumper, an odd ripple that was clear to be in the plastic vs paint. When I pointed it out, they quickly said “we will make this right”. Mistakes happen and absolutely love and respect how they handled this. When I went back to pick it up, my car was in better than pre-accident conditions, AND they were able to level out my hood which had been driving me nuts since I bought it. The paint color match is PERFECT. It’s just beautiful. I’m proud to drive it again.
Remember that friend who told me he would take his car there if anything happened? Well, his prized possession (a rare luxury car) was rear ended, and I was paying my bill, I saw it in their shop getting repaired.
I know this was a long review, but based on the customer service and repair work it feels warranted. This is a local, small business where the owners and employees CARE and it shows. I spoke with the owner for a little while when I picked it up and he’s wonderful. You will NOT be disappointed if you take your car to them. In fact, you might end up feeling like your car is better than you expected. As someone who has had a lifetime of my cars meeting bad drivers, I can honestly and confidently say Ace Auto Refinishing is the best in town.

Stopped in without calling with a random problem: a DRAGGING cover for the undercarriage of my car. Two hours of highway driving from home. These guys pulled it in and fixed it in 10 minutes...and no charge! DON'T expect 'no charge' for work here - but clearly DO expect attention to your problem and prompt quality work with SERIOUS attention to CUSTOMER CARE and SERVICE. Thanks again - you're lifesavers!

Absolute phenomenal service from a locally owned business who does what they say they're going to do! The entire process from beginning to end was seamless, and worry-free. It's a great feeling to know your vehicle is going to be taken care of after the horrible experience of a collision.
