Traveling through SC we booked this Place online and arrived late at night. We checked in and went to our room. As we opened the door we were greeted with a nasty odor of what I would describe as a full can of Lysol trying to cover up a foul odor. The room had a small fridge that smelled horrendous. The entire room was dirty especially the floors. We had to go ask for another room. The second room we got didn't have a bad odor but was still very dirty again especially the floors with peices of trash laying around. One of the beds even had someone's hair in it. We were awoken the next morning with a loud banging in one of the rooms towards the end of the hall. This place is disgusting and I would avoid it no matter what.

Wings are delicious. Very friendly staff. Rooms are under renovation. My room was partially completed and we were left with no vanity mirror or light. Kinda tough getting ready in the morning.

I planned a big surprise overnight trip for myself and my husband. We both work 6 days a week, rarely have the same day off, and have a 9 month old baby to boot. I booked Hyatt Place on Feb 6th after researching hotels for the amenities I was looking for and received a confirmation number. In the next two weeks I received two more emails with confirmation numbers letting me know my stay was coming. The morning of check-in (the 16th) I received ANOTHER email encouraging me to check in online. I tried to do so, but the link failed and said I had to check in on arrival. On arrival, at 10:30 pm 10 days after I received the first of MANY confirmation numbers, I was told my card had declined at booking and I had no place to stay as the hotel was completely booked. I received no notice of any kind that my card had been declined, in fact I received the opposite. Well over a month of planning a fun, romantic night out was ruined, I was heartbroken, my husband was disappointed, and Hyatt refuses to take responsibility, just saying that I was supposed to have received an email and something must have gone wrong. They gave me points on a membership but I definitely don't trust them enough to EVER book with them again.

First time stayed in Hyatt, didn’t notice they are remodeling the entire hotel, worried about the noise but it was quite after 8pm. King room was big and nice but smells a bit…front desk ladies were super friendly and helpful. I believe the hotel will be in good condition after the remodeling. Thanks again!

When I arrived the front desk service was great but the general manager was so rude , raised his voice at me and hung up the phone . And to add to the problems the room was dark , they charged me for a king room when I ended up with double beds , the tv remote was not working , the tub handle was broken and leaking , and when it broke they charged me 300 dollars . Will not be staying again

Very clean and comfortable! The house keeping folks knocked on our door two separate times and walked in at the third separate knock, all before our 11am checkout, which was a bit uncomfortable, but they apologized. I understand wanting to turnover rooms quickly! But I would’ve preferred they wait until closer to 11am to knock that second time.Rooms: Rooms are clean and modern.

Was in town for 4 nights for a wedding. They are doing renovations & I was aware when I made the reservation. Arrived after a 10hr drive to the water being shut off in the entire building till 7pm, so no place to use the restroom or wash up before a family dinner. Now ... WARCH THE CHARGES ON YOUR CARD!!! The next day I noticed my card had a hold on it for $200 more than the reservation total. When I questioned it, I was told there's an extra $50 per night incidental hold (I was never told about). After the 3rd night I was charged almost another $300 (again I was never told about), I was told for the first 2 nights plus a $50 per night incidental fee, to make sure the money was in my account (keep in mind they already have that hold on my account so now they're holding almost $1000 on my card for a reservation that was supposed to be $472.) When I caused a scene about that, they told me there would be another charge for the last 2 nights when I checked out. By the time I checked out, there was over $1200 being held on my card for a reservation that should have only cost $472!!! Yes, all the extra holds fell off ... 3 days after I got home! None of these charges were ever explained!Luckily the water was only off the day we arrived. The rooms were comfortable & spacious. We did have lady bugs, which of all bugs you can see in a hotel, I was OK with, we just flushed them when we saw them. The construction was visible in the lobby, but nothing intrusive. The breakfast was OK. It is a good location too.I don't know if the charge part is standard for Hyatt or just this location, but I will never stay at a Hyatt again to find out.

They are doing some Renovations but every single employee here is so friendly. Every time they see you they greet you and everybody has Smiles on their faces. That is refreshing. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast is not bad either. Would definitely stay here again.

My experience at this hotel was decent at first. The sink was clogged and the bathroom was tiny. They are doing renovations so of course the lobby wasn’t great. However, the morning we left I had to call the police because my license plate was stolen from my car. I called the front desk and they said there were no cameras facing the parking lot only the entrance. Please beware!!Safety: Please be cautious. Due to the fact that they have no cameras facing the outside parking lot, your car can easily be broken into, vandalized, or stolen all together in the middle of the night. I would recommend having cameras inside your vehicle if you plan on staying here. My license plate was stolen and I had to call the police, the investigation is ongoing as of 12/21/23.
