I brought my 2023 Ford Ranger to Gerber Collision & Glass, 111 Evergreen Dr, Irmo SC 29063, for a small dent on the top of my tailgate. They replaced and resprayed my tailgate, and notified me it was ready for pickup at 4:30 pm Friday afternoon. The soonest I could get there was Monday morning. My vehicle was left outside their gate, and unlocked all weekend. After paying the bill, I tried to start my Ranger, and found the battery was totally dead. My truck is three months old, with 2600 miles, the battery was fine when I dropped it off. They did not disconnect the battery when working on my vehicle, and somehow destroyed it. After 6 hours of waiting, they replaced my battery with a new one, which solved the problem. Gerber Collision & Glass should lock the customer's vehicles when parked outside, and ensure the vehicle will start before calling the customer telling them it's ready for pickup. I won't be returning.

Very very unhappy with the work done to my truck and very unhappy with there attitude and willingness to fix it and my truck was broken into while it was there and my truck was scratched up and they don't want to fix it. And when we told them there was a lot of stuff missing from the truck they said it was not there problem I would not recommend them to anyone and admitted to the break ins.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! They will scam you entirely!! I took my car there to get body work done and they quoted me 15k dollars when I bought the car 2 1/2 years ago for 14!! I took it to another place after and they quoted me 3k! No excuse for this and they obviously tried to take advantage of us! Extremely disgusting how they thought they could run up some money on a young man!

The staff were very helpful, courteous, and professional. Wanda made sure we were clear on how to get there and .are scheduling appointments easy. John was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in getting the estimate prepared and working with our insurance company ... so far, so good.

consumer beware!!!! do not take your car to gerber collision in irmo, south carolina!!!they took my windshield out and left my car in room where they sanded metallic paint, the paint dust covered my entire interior, i have videos but apparently can not upload here. consumer beware!!!

Didn’t even do business with this location because customer service was so bad. I was talked down to and treated very rudely my first time calling. I think her name was Wanda. Not sure but I’ll be going elsewhere just because of the way she spoke to me on the phone.

Ok, fixed problem; but left car really dirty inside and outside. Couldn't see out the windshield when I picked it up...stuff was stolen out of the car. They did compensate us for stolen items but still come on leaving doors unlocked parked outside...can't replace what was stolden.

I took my truck to them for a ding repair. I got the truck back with the xm radio not working, windshield wipers set in the wrong position and windshield washer not working. I had to return the truck again for the new repairs. They told me it was ready again. I returned again and picked it up. The windshield washer was still not hooked up and the cal panel was not installed correctly. I returned the truck again for the same repair that they created. They fixed it again. I picked it up again. I had to finish installing the cal panel in their parking lot, in the dark. I had called to ensure that I would have access to my vehicle and was hung up on. Through this entire endeavor I remained polite and patient. You would think this demeanor would be universal considering they are the service business. This was last night (1/28/21)We took my wife's car there when they first opened with the same results, needing to return for repairing the repair twice.I took a different truck to them and that was a nightmare. After a wreck where I was not at fault. They fixed the body and not the suspension. They told my insurance company there was nothing wrong with the truck suspension. The insurance sided with John Harris Body shop and dismissed the vibration at high speed. I had to take the truck to a dealership for the suspension repair that took an additional month. Ultimately I was canceled from my insurance carrier due to this dispute.Lesson learned. I will not be back to John Harris Body Shop for any reason again.Service: Painting

I went in for a quote at this location and asked for a cash quote and received an insurance quote. I went in for a new one and received the same amount. Not sure what the error was but I planned to make an appointment. They were booking three weeks out and I said I would look at my calendar and when I called back it was now a month plus out. I’m glad they’re busy but the woman I spoke to on the phone was short and rude. I simply asked if there was anything sooner and she said no and when I said “that’s disappointing I might need to go somewhere else” she said “mhm” and hung up. Not pleased with the transition to gerber thus far as the previous experience I had on another vehicle was pleasant.

My daughter reared ended another card. Her front bumper had to be replaced. They were fast and professional. My teenager daughter handle the transaction. She had no complaints. That to me is a plus.

I took my vehicle to John Harris Body Shop for paint repairs authorized by Toyota. When I received the vehicle back the paint on the vehicle now do not match the same paint as the original super white that was on the vehicle. After reading other reviews others have encountered the same problem matching paint. Upon other issues found dust particles in new paint and unpainted areas inside gas cap lid. Overall rating not pleased nor satisfied with the quality of paint on this vehicle it is now two-toned. I recommend that you do not use this shop for any paint repairs. Hopefully I can speak to the Owner on this issue….Service: Painting

It has been a terrible experience.They have had my car for over 30 days to do a 6-10 day job.It took them 2 weeks to tow my truck from lexington to irmo. 20 miles at best.I just called them 30 minutes ago and they couldn't tell me if my truck was ready or not. They said they would call me right back.Still waiting. I would give them zero stars but that wasn't an option
