I don't know WHAT is going on at this store, but it seems to be falling apart. We've been good customers for years and have decided to stop shopping at Kroger St. Andrews. Lately, the store is out of most of the things we need. I could not find a single can of whole cranberry around the holidays, the produce (cilantro, parsley, dandelion greens, lettuces) is drenched with so much water (from the fake "rain") that it's often rotten/black/mushy on the shelves. I'll make the drive to Whole Foods to purchase produce that is NOT black and rotting, and the gluten-free and organic items that we need. Their markup on wine is also ridiculous. If Kroger claims a $24.99 bottle is marked down to $19.00, the same wine often costs $14-$15 at Green's. Supermarkets are the worst places to try to buy decent wine. They invent fake prices so the customer thinks they're getting a 'deal' from the 'markdown.'And cashiers tell me that Kroger refuses to even consider Apple Pay "because most of our customers are old and would never understand how to use it." Assuming that all older people can't grasp this simple technology is discriminatory. Buh bye Kroger!

Dishonest sales and unhelpful staff. The weekly ad shows that briskets are on sale for $1.99/lb. Knowing this would be a popular item and having showed up in the past just to find out they were out of stock, I decided to call first. I called and talked to someone in the meat department and he was less than helpful. He said he doesn't "think" they have any briskets in stock and didn't bother to check to see if his information was correct. Not only that, I asked when they would have more and he said he had absolutely no idea if they'll get any more in before the sale is over. Throughout the entire conversation, he sounded like he hated his job and didn't want to be talking to me. I thought speaking to a manager would be more helpful, so I called back and said I wanted to speak to a manager. I don't think the person that answered the phone was one, but when I told her the situation, she told me the manager would just tell me to talk to the meat department. From my perspective, it seems they're just putting a dishonest sale in their ad to get people into the store. To be clear, I never expected the briskets to be in stock when I called, but I did expect someone in the meat department to be able to tell me when the next shipment was supposed to come in. I would highly recommend for the manager of the meat department to spend some time with our local Food Lion store's meat department. They are way more knowledgeable and are able to give accurate information.

Good prices. A nice store. Very clean and stocked well. The bagging was a tad off. But, the prices make up for it!

The people at this location are always so friendly and smiley. This store has good prices and some really good sales sometimes. If you need to use the restroom, wait until you get home.

I work at the pet store in the same parking lot, I go here every morning for my energy drink and breakfast, on Sundays when I work I get a coffee and danish from the Starbucks. Everyone is always so nice and quick to ask if you need any help. Self check out makes it so much faster so I can get what I need and get to work. It's become a mandatory part of my daily routine!

But they have not had Jumbo eggs in over a month. That is my main reason for shopping there.

Absolutely the worst grocery store I've ever been to. I felt like I was in an old Sam's Club with the cratered floors. The aisles were much too crowded to shop comfortably. The employees are the rudest people I have ever encountered. Ask them a question and they act like you are bothering them. We bought hamburger to grill cheeseburgers tonight and they had no flavor whatsoever. I thought Food Lion was bad but this was horrible. It had no flavor at all (and I did nothing different than I always have). The last time I shopped this Kroger was in 1983 (yes, it was that long ago). It was pretty good then. Tried it again today and I will never come back. A truly horrible experience.

I LOVE Kroger! I love esp love the store manager and the diary guy! They are always super helpful and I always find good deals! Btw digital coupons, Kroger cash back, Ibotta, and fuel perks I can’t save the same amount of money I do anywhere else! Love Love Love Kroger! I drive all the way from Lexington to shop bc Irmo is the only one close. It definitely helps stretch my budget when you’re a family of 6!

I have shopped at Kroger for over 40 years. I worked for the Kroger Company for 20. I have been shopping at this store since they closed their smaller store on the east side of I-26 and St. Andrews, which was by far the better store of the two. I have watched this store get worse and worse through the last few years. I have continued to shop there because I own stock in the company and I want to be loyal to a company that was very good to me in the 20 years I worked for their

I have shopped in this Kroger since the day it opened and have always thought it was a great store. The prices and food selection are good, the staff are generally helpful, (no Publux but ok.) However, I really am questioning continuing to shop there due to the negligence of the management regarding the enforcing of mask wearing. Other stores have a person or sign at the door, Kroger has nothing. I complained about it on my trip this afternoon as was told by staff that they are instructed not to say anything to the customer without masks. Good plan, kill off some oldies but insure your profit margin. Wise up, no one but idiots think this is ok.

STARBUCKS in KROGER:05 8/1/2020, I just had a bad experience with a barista named Katlin. She was so nice and friendly to the customers in front of me. While making their drinks she talked and laughed with them. That's the friendly environment that I'm used to. When the 2 ladies left she said "bye" and started on my ice coffee. She didn't acknowledge me or say hello. She talked to other people in line over my head as if I wasn't there. I didn't receive any of the friendliness that the white ladies ahead of me did. I am a black female dressed in jeans and an old t-shirt with a baseball call. She poured my coffee a little low so I asked her if she could add some more. She got mad finished the drink put it on the counter without a straw, napkin, or any words. I had to reach over the counter and ask for a napkin but not before saying "excuse me I'm sorry for bothering you but can I please have a napkin?" Even though she was closer, someone else have it to me. This was a hurtful experience because I knew that she was prejudice against me.

I went to Kroger this past weekend and can’t believe this place is still in business. The floors and shelves are filthy, there is no organization in this store, and forget about the customer service. It might break them to say hi or even look at people. Also, I get home and my Halo I’ve Cream bars show that they have been defrosted and melted back together. Had to throw that $10 out the door. And then my frozen meal I ate today gave me food poisoning. Probably from being de-thawed and then frozen again =bacteria. I just can’t believe this place is packed and people enjoy shopping here. I will never again spend money at a Kroger.

When we moved to the Irmo, SC area last year I was excited about the Kroger store near Lake Murray Blvd. I loved the variety and quality of vegetables in the produce dept, but lately things have really deteriorated. The "rain machine" in the produce dept DRENCHES the lettuce, parsley, dandelion greens on the shelves to the point where the produce sits there rotting and decaying. Despite this, Kroger charges the SAME prices for the rotting stuff that they charge for the fresh produce. So... It's time to shop elsewhere.

Only 3 check outs open! Wait time was 30 minutes, I ended up at self check up with 59 items!!! Store is filthy dirty and your bagged salads are already wilting before the sell by date. Probably due to the constant freezing and thawing. I’ve shopped here for 20 years but today was the last straw. You’ve lost a long-standing customer and I’m telling everyone how bad my experience was today.
