The truck they had “ready” to rent did not have a working air conditioner, and with 100° temps when I had the truck it was hot as hell driving it! It was “cooler” driving with the windows down and 100° outside than it was with the air conditioner running and the windows up!Also, it seems like they are never open when I’ve needed them. Not Saturday at 4 in the afternoon when I picked up a truck, and not on a weekday (mid-day) a few weeks ago when I needed to buy a lock. And don’t show up at lunchtime because they close the days that they are open for lunch too.The only reason they get 2 stars vs 1 is because I did at least get a truck (unlike another reviewer) thanks to the Uhaul app (which was also not a pleasant experience standing in the sun taking photos and waiting for someone to approve the transaction… only to get hotter once I was in the non air conditioned truck!). Overall a very unpleasant experience!

The owner was nice, friendly and professional. The customer service was amazing. You could tell that he really cared about how his customers feel and his business.

This was the absolute worst experience EVER! I was supposed to pick up a truck using their 24/7 service after hours... Well the truck was behind 3 other trucks with no way to get out of the parking lot. I even called to confirm with this location the previous day. An unbelievable waste of time!

My husband and I rented the 26' truck from Jam Pac storage July 29th 2017. We originally planned on renting it for only two days, but my husband was laid off the exact same day we were moving into our apartment in Irmo. We called the Jam Pac to let them know about this change, but no one answered or returned our phone call. So, we ended up having to keep the truck an additional two days because we were scrambling to find a place to rent back in our hometown (husband was working at V.C. Summer). While on our way to our hometown (two hours away) I got a phone call from the woman that works there asking where we were. I explained to her the situation and said I was thinking of dropping it off at the U-Haul location in my hometown. She responded with a vehement "NO". Wasn't polite in the least. Then I said "Okay, well we can just drive it back to Irmo then, that's no problem". Still she was rude and short with me. When we arrived the next day she walked out to the truck and hopped right in even though my husband was in the middle of getting his belongings out. She ignored him and went back inside. We were already upset at how she spoke to me on the phone. So, my husband goes into pay and doesn't say a word to her. He just decided not to engage with her and just wanted to pay our balance and be done with it. After the transaction was finished, he started to walk out and she said "keep on being an a******** There was another customer with her child that was present at the time she said this. My husband just kept on walking out. I was shocked that she acted this way. As someone who works with the public, she should know better. Also just a heads up, the website advertises the mileage at 69 cents a mile, but when we arrived, we were told it would be 99 cents a mile. So not only did we spend extra money per mile than originally planned, but we also had to drive more miles, and got treated poorly. I have never seen customer service this horrible.
