Nice big sites. Full hook ups. Bath house, it’s quite. They have a shuttle that takes you to downtown Charleston and picks you up. Very nice area. Evidence of water flowing across this site. But it’s a great site if no rain forecasted. Most sites shaded with mature trees.

The campground is nice and the restroom and showers are outstanding. It's a bit expensive, but probably worth it if you need a full hookup. Unfortunately, there are only 6 electric/water sites that are a bit less expensive.

Great campground and park. Staff is awesome. I do not recommend for tent camping in full hookup sites, as they cater to RVs and Motorhomes...and sites are mostly large gravel. They do offer primitive tent sites, but there's no power or on site water. Otherwise, a great place to visit.

We have stayed here before, and enjoyed it. They have nice walking trails, and a lovely dog park! We stayed in campsite 1, and, being right at the entrance to the campground, there was a lot of activity, and kinda noisy. We moved to 8, and that was much better. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here a week and enjoyed it. The sites are gravel and we had some rain so you will get gravel in your rig but the site did drain well and the bugs weren’t as bad as I would have predicted. Full hook ups and nice bathrooms, they do have laundry but the machines are outside and older ($2 to wash and $2 to dry). The water park is across the street from the campground and we had a lot of fun there and the splash pad with the kids. Also a huge dog park on the lake that both dogs enjoyed. Some sites are definitely more shady than others (we stayed in August) so that might be worth asking about when you’re making a reservation. About a 20 minute drive to the beach but you’re 5 minutes from stores and restaurants and 20-30 from downtown Charleston.

Christmass light exhibit was really neat. Adults & kids loved it. Best to circle twice as it's easy to miss some of what's going on. Particularly look for the lightening at the volcano and watch where Santa's golf ball goes.

We didn't realize when booking but we were there for the festival of lights. It was wonderful! The location also has a shuttle which takes you to and from downtown charleston. Have already recommended to friends and would definitely returnNearby activities: Downtown Charleston was accessible by a shuttle
