Expensive merch. But they do have a sale section, it’s very tiny. Staff isn’t very helpful. Bikes you rent are old but decent priced.

The bikes we received had under inflated tires that we discovered during a 20 mile ride the following day. It made for a very unpleasant experience. We had to take the bikes back to the store - since they don’t deliver- to have them pump up the tires. Despite acknowledging their mistake, the store refused to extend the rental by one hour (!) to compensate us for the lost time, unless we paid extra. There are other businesses in the area - both less expensive and will also deliver your bike to you. I will sure remember that next time.

Purchased an expensive beach umbrella on our first day only to discover upon setup there was a hole in the nylon. Returned to store next day and was told they can't exchange and our only recourse is to work with manufacturer to have them repair the hole on our brand new $300 umbrella. Seems like there was nothing keeping them from selling defective merchandise so the customer is stuck dealing with the problem. They had plenty to exchange it with. Now we have to work with an umbrella with a hole for the rest of vacation. Wouldn't recommend shopping here if they can't stand behind their sales.

A tad on the pricey side but great collection of items and they sell Johnny O stuff... Staff isn't the most friendly/helpful but if you can grab their attention, they will in fact reluctantly help out.

The cashier specifically told me I would be able to return the shorts I bought if they didn't fit. I came back the next day to return one of the pairs and was told they wouldn't return them due to them being on clearance. I spoke to 2 managers that both told me that there was nothing they could do, wouldn't help or try and accommodate there employees obvious mistake with any solutions. They had the worst customer service. I will not be coming back or recommending this shop to any friends or family.

Don’t expect quality service if you purchase a bike. They don’t go out their way to be helpful (or friendly) and will tell you they can’t do something when another (trek) bike shop gladly and easily made it happen. They know they have convenience on their side for local Kiawah and Seabrook residents but I recommend looking elsewhere for all your bike purchases and services.

Super fun place to find gear for playing outdoors. The staff is top of the line. Patrick took the time to help us fix a bike. It was awesome of him to go out of his way to help us. Saved our vacation so I didn’t walk the entire time!

We appreciate that you took the time to respond. However, you missed the point of our review. We did not take issue with your return policy, but the manner in which your employee spoke to us. There is absolutely no excuse for such blatant disrespect for a customer simply asking for clarification.

Extremely rude, disrespectful, & unprofessional staff. We were told via phone that we could exchange a broken beach chair which was purchased in March 2022, but not used until July 2022. (It broke upon setting it up for the third use.) Evidently, the staff member we spoke with on the phone was misinformed about the return policy. We understand & accept that misinformation occurs. However, it was the manner in which we were spoken to at the store with which we take issue. The staff member at the store (appeared to be the manager in charge on July 8, 2022) did not apologize for the misinformation nor make any attempt to even kindly, respectfully speak with us about the situation. In fact, he was extremely rude & unprofessional. He lacked basic civility. Upon asking why we were told one thing on the phone and another in person, he condescendingly and gruffly stated “I’m telling you the policy buddy.” He would not apologize or discuss the matter. We then quietly and calmly expressed that based on his attitude, we would not be returning to the store. The staff member (manager?) raised his voice, pointed to the door, and harshly said “Please don’t! GET OUT!” So much for treating customers with respect or common decency. Even though we have been long time customers and have spent a considerable amount of money at Seacoast over the years, we will no longer support or recommend this store.

Very disappointed with the incredibly rude and unprofessional customer service we received from whom we assume was the manager on duty July 8, 2022. We purchased a beach chair in March 2022. It was unused until July 2022. Upon setting up the chair for the third use, one of the metal legs snapped in two at the rivets. Before attempting to exchange the chair, we called SeaCoast Sports and Outfitters to inquire about their exchange policy. We were informed that they would exchange the chair. No mention of a 30 day policy even though we stated that we bought the chair in March. However, when we brought the chair in to exchange, we were informed that there is a 30 day exchange/return policy. At this point we would need to contact the manufacturer. We accept this, but do warn others to not purchase any items at SeaCoast that they do not intend to use right away. There is no consumer protection for defective merchandise. Nevertheless, it was the rude, gruff, condescending, and unprofessional attitude of the manager with which we take issue. Upon calmly expressing our disappointment at being told one thing on the phone and another in person, he rudely stated “I’m telling you the policy buddy.” No apology for the misinformation given by the employee we spoke with on the phone. No kind, apologetic words or tone of voice. No expression of understanding that we might be disappointed that we were given the wrong information. No eye contact. No attempt to help us with contact information for the manufacturer. No civility at all. We quietly stated that in lieu of the manager’s unprofessional, condescending attitude, we would not shop at SeaCoast in the future. The manager’s response as he pointed toward the door: “Please don’t. GET OUT!” We’ve never experienced such a lack of respect or value for the customer. No one should be spoken to in such a manner, but certainly not a customer who has frequented your business and helped to support it. Extremely disappointing.

We love shopping at SeaCoast every time we vacation at Kiawah Island, which has been pretty much every summer for the last 15 years. We've bought boogie boards, flip flops, towels, swimming suits, clothing,toys, sun block, shrimp knives, stickers, etc, etc...This year my hubby bought a Howler shirt and we purchased beverage holders that stake in the sand. Great help, awesome stuff and a cool environment!!
