I stayed there on Apri 21-23, 2025. RIght after I paid for the stay. The front desk clerk told me that there was no water. He said there is a water main break. He told me it was off for more than 3 hours. Told me there was no refund because it wasn't the hotel fault. That it was a city problem. Funny thing no one in town new about this supposed water main break. Neither my family I was there for nor any other business. There wasn't even a water advisory posted anywhere. On the second night there was extremely loud music played throughout the night at the hotel. I had to get sleeping pills to try and get some sleep. Woke up to find that the water was still off. Was not for family I was visiting I would not have had been able to attend to my hygiene. I am used to the loud freight train that goes by blowing its' horn but the other stuff I went through was so disrespectful and unprofessional. Then after checking out and being told that I am still not entitled to a refund or any credit because it was a city problem. I was told on the evening of the 23rd after getting back home to Pennsylvania that I will receive an adjustment to the charges and that I would like what they do for me. I was told it would happen in 3 to 5 days. Well that changed to 10 days to 15 days and now nobody knows anything. Each person tells me they have to look into it although they see it on the system. By the way I saw no other guess. Based on my experience be forewarned about staying at the Quality Inn Kingstree, South Carolina.

Don't go here my room was discusting seen several roaches and they had bed bugs my worst stay ever at this hotel check out was at 11 and 9:30 they knocked at the door and said I had to pay for an extra day or get out know worst service I had ever seen I was shocked that they do ne me like that and me being disabled with just one leg they wouldn't even help me get my bags out the room. I should have saved my money and slept in my truck it looked like a drug store People coming and going all night long . I may have gotten 30 minutes of sleep. I was very disappointed asked for a refund and still they haven't gotten back to me. If I could give 00 stars I would

I arrived at this hotel to spend the nite. It was dark and very gloomy. Parking lot dark and not maintained. I didn't feel safe . SO I DID NOT EVEN GET OUT OF MY TRUCK AND I LEFT.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This most nasty and unprofessional hotel I’ve ever seen. They gave us our room key and we walked into a room that was so dirty it seemed occupied. Roaches everywhere smells terrible, can’t even complain or check out because no one is at the front. Do not come here

This property has two stories with no elevator!!! The rooms are not in the best condition.. Or Up to date!!!! I told Housekeeping there was something sticky on the floor in my room, that looks like it could be throw up!! She said that's been there.. They may have to remove the carpet.. So why are you checking anyone into that room??? The lamp shade was ripped, The clock didn't work, there was mole in sink & bathtub, The Hotel says no Smoking.. The entire 2nd floor smells like cigarettes & Marijuana, I didn’t see a clerk at the reception desk the entire time after check in. it Looked like the employees who works there invited there family members to come up there & have Smoke Sessions by the entrance!! This experience was very disappointing!! Kingstree is a very small prideful town. The Quality Inn should at least make sure anyone visiting, have a Great Experience!! Instead it feels like the Deluxe Inn would have been a better choice!!

Me and my family stayed there only one day on July 5th 2024 and there were roaches in room 218, the Phone doesn't work AND they didn't have any towels for us! The manager London still hasn't reached out to us about a refund because we had to leave today because the roaches in the room were unbearable to us. He's trying to resell the room and keep our money. If they suggest room 218 do not take it, don't even show up to this hotel, all the hotels in the area are bug infested.

Roaches, that's sums it up. Who wants to pay their hard earn money to see roaches in their room. My family member sat her cup down on the counter and went to pick it up and a roach was on the side of it. Plus, two more under the sink.
This place desperately need to be renovated and exterminated for roaches. Unfortunately, I will not stay at this motel again when visiting Kingstree, S.C.
Quality Inn by Choice Hotels do better!!!! This location is not a hotel, but a low grade motel.

Strong smell of mold, breakfast area was closed/ equipment all broken. Front desk was hard to reach. I would not stay again for free.
Rooms: Small, and bathroom floor tiles were loose.

Love it!! Extremely Welcoming, kind, comfy/cozy, free breakfast in the mornings. Moral of the story you get your money worth. You'll definitely have everything you need!!

Inexpensive lodging. Courteous people. Could use some updating.Noteworthy details: Only used the room for very short stay after Amtrak dropped me off at an unmanned station in an unfamiliar location at about 4am. Who does that? Very scary experience. Very nice police officer transported me to Quality Inn, where I stayed til morning.

Paint and wallpaper peeling off wallsYou can never find anyone at the front deskStains on carpet in the bedroom areaDirt and grim around the base of the toilet and tub.Soap scum build up in tubThe room and bathroom were just old and dirty. The only positive thing about this stay was rhe king size bed, I have back issues, but the bed was so comfortable! It's just too bad I didn't get any sleep because of the people in the surrounding rooms being so loud. It is a non-smoking hotel. They have an area outside to stand next to a run-down pool.Lights outside broken and barely hanging on to the postThe smell of Marijuana permeated throughout the hallways.The staff did nothing to quiet other guests when asked to do so Now don't get me wrong the gentlemen that run the place were very nice, respectful and helpful, but the woman...not so much, she shouldn't be there, she was very short, curt and honestly rude. All that being said, I am not racist in any way, shape, or form, but t at this hotel we were the only white people there. The manager and his nephew were very nice to us and didn't treat us any differently than everyone else. But the woman made us feel very uncomfortable!When we called to reserve a room, they said it would be $130 a night, so we went online and got the same room for $87. A night. It was a big mistake staying at this hotel, and although close to where I was visiting, it was not worth the money saved staying there. When we left I forgot my phone charger, it took them 3 days to find it, then they said they would mail but when I called, 6 days later, a woman at the front desks remarked, " I'm not paying to send you your charger!" So needless to say, I never received my charger and doubt I ever will. But that's ok, we will not be staying at this hotel again. I hope this review helps people to know just what they are getting I to if they stay at this place.
