Can’t lie I went in there like 15 mins ago to buy a twisted tea mind you I’m the required age which is 21 n one of your employees told me I couldn’t buy it because I didn’t have a license I have a perfectly working ID cause I don’t drive I find it kinda shitty how everywhere else I’ve went to purchase my alcohol was fine until I went there definitely won’t be coming back

The bathroom and store were clean on my visit to this location. I tried a machine auto drip Rain Forest Brew coffee. It was awful, I had to toss a full coffee in the trash at another gas station.

During Hurricane Helene. They had a line going about a mile back which i waited in for over an hour. When i saw the line looked like it split at the end for Deasl fuel and Regular pumps. I thought i had to go i to the pumps. One of your associates told me i cut the line. Did not know of course since they did not have a way to determine which line was which. So they tell me i had to go back to the back of the line with an additional 2.5 hour wait time. Really furious i went home. Even In critical situations they do not know how to organize people properly. Or even cone to an understanding and let me have my place back in line. Never coming back to that station for anything again. If they cannot understand why i was confused where to go and just send me to the back of the line again then they do not even care.

They have been open and serving us during the aftermath of Helene. We appreciate all the employees who have been working non stop to make sure people are taken care of.

Bad management, cockroaches found in the kitchen and on the main floor near the donuts/chips, Flys/Bugs in the seating area always landing on you, Deli employees verbally abuse customers when placing big orders, assistant general manager doesn’t do anything even though he gets paid more than the rest, car wash is always broken and is outdated unlike other Spinx, cashiers that come in high and reeks of weed, bathrooms are a constant mess and they’ve threatened to call DHEC due to the quality of bathrooms. Employees vape in the store near the food. Lottery numbers are listed wrong and are out of stock most of the time. Stupidly strict ID policy. Manager tries hiring customers on the spot without a proper process or anything because he’s desperate as hell then wonders why nobody last at his store. Food extremely overpriced, $8 for a three piece of chicken that’s usually not fresh and they charge extra for sauces. The list goes on.
Former worker here, all speaking from experience. I’ll be submitting a DHEC complaint myself and speaking with Spinx Corporate about the general manager of the store and what goes on there. ??
The manager Charlie has been informed of all these issues while I worked as an employee here, but does nothing to fix them. He only cares when his boss named Tim plans on showing up.
Edit: DHEC Complaint submitted, try not to verbally disrespect, under appreciate, underpay, and overwork your workers next time boss man. There’s about a million things wrong with your store that you don’t care and will never fix. For everyone reading this I would avoid it at all cost.
Edit #2: Few weeks later, I’ve been informed by multiple past coworkers that still work in the store that the manager Charlie is now trying to falsely TRESPASS me for exposing a lot of what goes on behind the scenes at this store

I bought a 12 piece chicken and a large potato wedge on Wednesday evening and it was awful......wedges cold and limp (you could tell they were old!).....and the chicken was old and rock hard also.....the rolls were not fresh either......so I spent $30 for a largely inedible meal.....I think we threw out all but 4 pieces of the chicken that we managed to gnaw our way through!.....if I could give 0 stars I would.

"Screens were flipped up for a reason"...is not the correct response to let someone know you closed the kitchen. Put a sign up....clear communication is customer service. It's good food, frustrating enough to drive there for a 7:20 snack and it be closed...which is fine, just don't need the sarcastic response from someone.
Updated review to 4 stars. Food is good and customer service is actually great...they just need to realize there isn't much in Landrum so closing early isn't cool, its summer time almost and day light till 8:00. Thanks to management for addressing the issue!

Self checkout I don't work for Sphinx therefore I do not scan my own product on my purchase manager declined to open a register and check me out as he did days before from what I was told when I stopped at the spinx in travelers rest that they have to have a cash register open at all times even if they have you scans I'm not 100% sure on that just what I was told manager was rude after doing this for me just days before spinks will lose my business if this continues I do not work for Sphinx or any place that has a U-Scan to help them save money
