People, and facilities were good. Never have met the owner, but the gym in West Columbia CLOSED due to their rent going up, and they gave us less than a month notice. In the contract it states that you cannot break contract when you move as long as you are 50 miles from another location. Most gyms have 25 miles in their contract as 50 miles is most likely not convenient for most. After the closure, I reached out to them asking to break contract as it would take me 45 mins to 1 hour to get to the other location. The owner is a crook and would not budge although HIS gym closed down with less notice than he asks his own members to give him. There are plenty of other gyms with owners who are human. I would stay away from them.

Great gym but not for me. The equipment is too crowded and they don't have the right equipment for me. It's too bad. It's so close to my place.

I was in town for the holidays and needed a gym to workout. They had day passes available and was a very easy process. The gym was really nice, the staff was great. I would definitely come back whenever I’m in town.

Great friendly staff. Indoor track is nice. Equipment condition could be better, they let broken machines sit unfixed for many many weeks. These are highly popular machines like leg extensions.Unlike many other gyms I've been to, these guys have absolutely no space to do stretches on the ground. Space is very Tight with so much equipment stuffed in. Even so it's hard to get on the equipment because it is so crowded. It would be nice if these guys did some expansion. Or perhaps Better utilize this space they have. Too many unused treadmills.Locker room is okay, But the men's bathroom is usually very dirty and is very small for a gym this size.

This review is specifically about my experience with the Moncks Corner location, which is all under the same company. \nThis gym has a predatory contract. If you join this gym READ THE CANCELATION POLICY. Their cancellation policy is that you cannot cancel your membership unless one of the following three scenarios happen:\n1. You have to have moved out of a 50 mile radius of the gym. (For some areas that is still more than an hour of a drive)\n2. You have died. (weird how that was thrown in there. Kind of like intimidation) \n3. You have become so physically disabled, you are unable to use the gym safely at all. You MUST provide a doctor's note. (COMPLETE invasion of privacy and should be illegal. It's 100% unethical) \n\nAll three of these scenarios are insane. Those are the only ways to cancel the contract? Let's also not forget to mention that the owner is very unprofessional and instead of trying to fix problems that are addressed in negative reviews (many of which are the same complaints), they BERATE the people leaving those reviews, publicly. Not to mention they ignore the parts of the reviews stating that the facility is unsanitary. The owner is also known for reporting and having reviews on google deleted, as well as blocking ANYONE from posting reviews on their Facebook. And if you comment anything negative in their comments section, you are automatically blocked. They refuse to address consumer problems repeatedly and it is very telling. \n\nIf you have signed on recently, know your rights. You have three business days to submit a notice of cancelation via certified mail per STATE LAW.\n

People are rude, and it has a funny smell to itI apologize for the above review. I never wrote this review. I would never say anything like this about a company I work for. I worked at this particular gym 2 times. The only people I saw were the parents of the children I was watching and the manager. They were helpful and polite to me. The only reason they don't get a 5 star is because I have never used the gym and got lost getting to the gym. But I am also terrible with directions. The part of the gum I did see was kept clean.

Do NOT recommend this gym or any owned in the area due to their business practices and poor ownership. The way the owner responds to any sort of criticism online speaks for itself.

Would look any another gym in the area, there contract they initially make you sign is a complete waste of money. I live an hour from any gym location and am not allowed to cancel my membership, because my house is not exactly 50 miles from any gym location. I live 46 miles away, I also what to add how before I signed this contract I had been a member at this gym for 2 years before canceling my membership as I was no longer using the membership. To my surprise my way back in after I left was a larger contract, and now they are refusing to cancel my membership and are making me pay until 2025! (Thanks for responding so professional. All I was saying was when I signed up 6 months ago. Not knowing I was moving an hour away in 6 months, like you just made up. I’m just trying to warn people about a sketchy contract that I personally think is ridiculous. Sorry that someone who has been paying you guys for almost 2 and a half years I thought you guys would be more professional, but all I get is dirty comments from you, and emails unanswered just for me to ask for a follow up. Then there’s still no solution or any way out of it. So based of my personal opinion your impossible to deal with. That’s what this section is for reviews.)

It's ok. Gets the job done. Needs a better layout of there equipment on the main floor. If doing flat bench don't expect a spotter due to the head to head layout. Needs at least 1or 2 non-adjustable flat benches with or without wheels.

Terrible gym, staff is no good and goes on power trips. Highly recommend going to another gym not worth the money nor time with such little space to work outThey also have staff and bot accounts for their reviews constantly trying to get a better rating.Owner is terrible with customer service and the contract is a total money scandal just to bring more money in and take advantage of kids wanting to go to the gym. There payment method is terrible and are only in it for the money.Does not have a solid staff workers they are constantly hired then fired or quit I’ve had multiple friends working here and have heard nothing but negative comments about how they treat there employees and how higher powers treat low staff.Highly advise to not support nor waste your time with this gym.

Disturbing place for females!!Short story is the older man, Sheridan, that works there offered my teenage daughter a ride home after she was just dropped off there at 3 pm on a Saturday. He said she didn’t have 24 hour access and therefore couldn’t be there. He also told her we have a balance on our account due; which we did not!I don’t feel comfortable with us going there anymore and since then have received very rude emails from the owner! Saying I’m just trying to get out of my contract and such.

I'm about 18 months into my 24 month contract. It's decent if you come outside of peak hours. (after 8 PM) (24 hour access also costs extra) Can't really recommend it otherwise. Not remotely enough equipment for anyone looking to strength train. Only 2 adjustable benches for the dumbbells and 1 main cable/pulldown area. If I come during busy hours, I typically have to wait about 10 minutes just to get my workout started. There are plenty of treadmills and bikes but they're largely unnecessary. It runs really hot. Not really sure of the actual temperature, but I have to wear a tank top every day just to not faint of heat exhaustion. There is an overhead fan but all of the main weights areas are *just* outside its reach so it's pretty much useless.I will say that the staff is very friendly and helpful, so I don't want to fault them for any of the problems I've mentioned. With that said, I'll definitely be finding a new gym once my contract is up.
