Many sites are so far apart that neighbors are not visible, making it ideal for those seeking privacy. The campground features a small playground near the restrooms, which are clean and well-maintained, and a boat ramp for water activities. There is no dedicated picnic area, but campers can set up at the waterfront or use each campsite’s table. The staff are friendly and helpful, adding to the positive experience. However, amenities like laundry were reported as not operational during some visits, and there are no garbage cans on site, with dumpsters located at the entrance. A common concern among visitors is the presence of ants, which tend to be everywhere, both inside and outside, especially after rainy weather. Some campers experienced significant ant issues, requiring multiple hours of cleanup and spraying. Despite this, many find the campground beautiful and well worth visiting, citing the value, scenery, and overall quality as top reasons for returning. Overall, the US Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds offer an excellent camping experience with great views, spacious sites, and friendly service.
