“We were a little intimidated by the long line and small number of tables when we first walked in, but the line moved pretty quick. The tables cleared out fast, several actually opened while we were ordering so we didn't have to wait for one. The line was out the door, but we waited less than 10 minutes to order and had our foor within 10 minutes of that. I was shocked how fast we got our food. We went at lunch time on a Sunday and had the meat and 3. I had the grilled pork chop with cabbage casserole, squash casserole, and mac & cheese. Hands down one of the best pork chops over ever had. It tasted like it had been smoked, huge portion, and the bbq glaze/sauce was amazing. The casseroles were equally as good. Nothing needed to be seasoned like at most restaurants. My husband and son had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, squash casserole, and mac & cheese. The crust on the chicken was seasoned well and real crunchy. Chicken was cooked perfect. My husband said the potatoes tasted homemade. Afterwards we went back for the icecream. I had the swirl. Definitely recommend. My husband had plain peach and my son the chocolate. I think the swirl was the favorite all around with the chocolate a close second. Service was great. Everyone was very friendly. Staff was constantly cleaning and turning tables. The owner came over and talked to us for a bit. Very nice, humble people. The restaurant has a down home, comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely make the 1.5 hour drive back to bring friends. ?❤️”

“Great little produce stand where farm fresh produce can be found. They serve a good hot dogs here too. You can find other good things like Carolina Reaper Sausages, cheeses, salad dressings, etc. At Christmas time they will even make good fruit baskets.”
