I requested a 120 gallon tank. Technician came and confirmed the location. I received a bill for his time, $100 plus 2 other charges amounting to more than $200. I assumed those charges were to deliver the tank and maybe rent. No explanation. I paid the bill, but after about 3 weeks, I still don’t have a tank or time when it would be delivered. I cancelled the tank and requested a refund. I was giver a claim number but have not seen a refund or heard from anyone. It is a shame you can’t contact anyone at Amerigas except in the Philippines, Malaysia or another country.That’s why 1 star.

Reluctantly signed up for auto service and sure enough they came out 1 week after they already filled up, charging me delivery fees, etc. for 20 gal. First, why? Second why did they need to fill 20 gallons? It's a 124 gallon tank that the first guy only filled to 99. Third, I can never get a hold of the Mt. Pleasant, SC store by phone.

They have very poor customer service. Had 3 weeks to deliver gas. Promise after promise. Now the tank is empty. Oh well

Can I give negative 5 stars? I added a tankless waterheater to my account, but the gas ran out anyway, Christmas Eve. No way to make dinner or take showers. Relocated my family, asked for a refill and to be called since I'd need to send a neighbor over to let them into my house for leak check. Didn't call. I get home - locked out of my tank - BUT there's a bill! I speak to nine people on the phone, they finally put in a request to get someone out here. Go into the New Year holiday, no gas. Call Tuesday, it will be Wednesday, call Wednesday, it will be Monday. No one ever called me to say anything, zero communication. I wait all day and no one comes, no one calls and the best the people on the phone can do is send a request. Utterly useless. Why does it take 2 weeks for this to happen? The communication is terrible. If you can help it, DO NOT go with this company. Had Blue Flame for over a decade without any problems. These people are worse that Comcast.

I order tank refills online (“will call”). The tank is typically filled within a few days. I’m billed online, too, making everything effortless. We’ve used Blue Flame for 16 years with no problems.

I am so disappointed with Amerigas that i am actively looking for another propane company for my needs. You drivers are at best, rude. And at worst non-communicative when they show up. No doorbell, no leaving meter receipts, etc. And, attempts to speak with customer service leads me to the Phillipines where all your "terribly hard-to-understand" operators is apologize for my issues and say they will "see what they can do." The last thing American is Amerigas.
