Most repairs can be quoted for cheaper elsewhere with better experienced mechanics willing to do a thorough job. Spent thousands of dollars out of pocket in this establishment for major repairs and ended up with a totaled vehicle. Secondly, do not let your vehicle sit it storage they charge outrageously high fees.

Come, stroll with me down to Ascue Paint and Body Shop. This was the most pleasant and phenomenal experience I’ve ever had in the paint and body business. I felt so welcome the minute I entered the grounds of this body shop. I’ve never seen a shop so organized, and clean. My appointment was scheduled between 8:00-8:30am on a Tuesday morning. I’ve never witness an owner walking the grounds of his body shop early morning - this says a lot about his character. Mr. Ascue models his business in excellence when it comes to first impression.Upon my arrival Mr. Ascue was already in preparation, walking the grounds, and observing parked cars on lot. This says a lot about an owner. I would say this is a business man that cares about his customers and their satisfaction. Mr. Ascue, to be commended the manner in which he operates his business and the manner in which he role model himself. He models himself employee status. It was an amazing and beautiful sight to watch him work.I was extremely touched by the cleanliness and order of parked cars - the lot was not junky - it was very and extremely organized! If you wanted to see your car it was visible. And oh, his staff is lovely and kind in making you feel comfortable.My car needed extreme painting. The trunk of my car had looked like large balls of snowball missing paints. After paint job my Honda was as though it was a brand new 2023 Honda. It was so beautiful. I could not believe this was actually my car. And guess what else? They washed and clean the entire inside of my car. My heart was in tears seeing magnificent job well done (I have pictures before and after if you’re in doubt). I give you viewers, the truth, and my highestrecommendation to feel free to contact Mr. Ascue at Ascue Paint and body shop for your car needs. Taste and see for yourself - don’t waste time thinking should you go. GO! You will be happy as I.

Absolutely the WORST experience I’ve ever had with auto shops and customer service. What should have taken no more than a week, they took over a month to repair. They never gave me updates and every time I called to ask, I was told “you’re not the only person with a car here” or just completely lied to about the timeline. They took my car to a totally different garage for repairs and refused to give me their information. I finally have my car back and compared my mileage between when I first brought my car to them vs what it is now, and there is now 738 extra miles on my car. This is the most dishonest and unprofessional garage I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Do not take your vehicles here.

Excellent service, repair and paint. As with everywhere, an appointment is needed. Not a long wait as compared to other shops. Once the work was started, it was quickly and professionally completed.

I went to try to get an estimate to have my car repaired. I found they condescending. Not very polite to a woman. If they can't be polite at the beginning I would not use them never received an estimate there are other repair shops in mt pleasant

My car suffered minor damage on the right rear quarter during a service at Anderson Toyota. Ascue made it look like it had never happened. Good job.

I grew up in the automobile business and worked at my parents car dealership. I worked in every aspect of the business and ran body shops for six years. Today 5/16/2023 I went to get an estimate to paint the hood of my vehicle which has a rock chip you could cover with a half dollar which I exacerbated with a high pressure car wash. I was told I would have to "get on a schedule" to get an estimate and the next available date was 6/7/2023. I was shocked to say the least and decided to take a pass. I am always glad to see business success but the matter of fact delivery of the employee who relayed this info was stunning to me? I guess things have changed?

Terrible experience. Thieves who came highly recommended by Lowcountry VW whom I trust. Brent, the owner took my deposit for work contingent on my stopping by the next day (at his request) for a time estimate, with the understanding that parts would not be ordered unless we green lit the work. I stopped by, the owner wasn't there. I called within the hour to say I would not be going forward with the work and was told my deposit would be returned in its entirety. A month later after receiving my CC statement, this had not yet happened. I stopped by in person to rectify this and an awful woman agreed to my refund only after deducting a 'restocking' fee for parts that I never authorized to be ordered, that should not have been ordered, because of my agreement with the owner. Then she blamed me for having taken them at their word. Do not go here. They are not what they seem. The owner may not even have any knowledge of the massive screw-up. I will be disputing the imaginary fee with my CC, and will let VW and BBB know of this hot mess they call a business.Edit: Said woman just called me screaming. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Stopped in for a quick estimate for a simple paint job, not realizing they are appointments only, and met with attitude. Told I could schedule an appt for an estimate 2-3 weeks out. An unwelcoming first impression, however, worries me about the overall customer service experience that they have to offer. Taking my business elsewhere.

My wife’s car had a 10-inch black streak that had gone into the primer of her front left quarter panel. We went to four different body shops for quotes, and they either didn’t take cash or couldn’t provide a quote for three weeks. At Ascue’s we received the quote on the Thursday we first saw them, dropped the car off Friday, and by the following Tuesday the car was done and perfect. I met Craig personally, and you can tell he’s a man who cares about the quality of his shop’s work. I would recommend Ascue’s for all your auto body and paint work!Services: Body & Trim

I’m really hoping this place does good work. It was recommended by a friend and had good reviews. My original quote was “2-3 days” I’ve been hearing “it’ll be ready in a couple of days” and “it should be done by end of week” for 21 days now. My insurance only covers a rental car for 30 days 1 week ago they told me it was in paint and would be ready by end of week. Now they’re not even saying end of this week. At no point has anyone from the business reached out to me with updates this is all me calling every few days. Not worth the time and stress.Services: Body & Trim

Had my vehicle towed there and was kept behind their fence with a locked gate, but in the same area all of their service bays are. 24 hours later $500 worth of my stuff was missing, my cargo carrier and my jacks. It’s SO obvious the employees pilfered the vehicle because nobody else could see my vehicle behind the fence EXCEPT the employees, yet when I told the people upfront they could not have possibly cared less…I filed a police report but I doubt seriously that will go anywhere…

If I could give them a negative star I would. Being rear ended is stressful enough, without having to deal with this store's customer service. I was shocked at the unprofessional treatment of the shop assistant manager, Keisha Arline. After waiting over a month for my appointment to open up and after Ascue's received a check from the insurance company, Keisha Arline refused to perform service on the car, cancelled my appointment, and yelled at me --all over the phone. I have no clue how they have managed to stay in business for so many years if this is how they treat customers.Side note- Keith was great. He is the only good thing about this shop.Service: Body & Trim
