Whether buying, selling, or pawning, this place is absolutely the model of what exceptional customer service should look like. They are personable, friendly, andalways super helpful in every way possible, especially employees Johnny, Ann, Melissa, and Van. Quite frankly, I will never do business anywhere else as nowhere else even comes close in comparison.!

Hi, I went to purchase a product from the Money Man Store that is located in Mt. Pleasant, SC. I was filling out the paperwork that was required to make the purchase. And an African American employee ( a male) walked over to where I was using the laptop and almost closed it shut before I could stop using it. I was extremely appalled since I didn’t say anything or do anything wrong. I have never been treated that way by a salesperson in any business before. I wasn’t even looking at the product. That employee needs to learn how to treat the customers right that he waits on in the future or not work as a sale person in any type of business. There was definitely a (racist vibe) going on in that business today on 10/10/23. I didn’t do anything wrong to be treated so poorly by him. The Customer Service techniques used in that store needs to be changed immediately or they will keep loosing business in the future. Thanks.

Very racist facility. I was stereotyped from the minute I walked through the door. The first time I came to purchase a firearm I was told that the address on my conceal weapon permit had to match my license. Okay so I got that fixed. Went back and was told by the sales team and manager that they didn't feel comfortable selling me a firearm because I was asking my husband for advice. I provided my retired military ID, conceal weapon permit and my license they still refused to sell me a firearm. Will never go back to this business. I am a business owner and I would never treat anyone this way.

I'm not sure what all the reviews are talking about. I have never had anything but a positive experience when dealing with Money Man Mt.Pleasant. I have purchased multiple things from them and keep going back because of the large selection of things they carry. The staff has always been friendly and professional and willing to work with payment dates when I've had problems getting there. Can't attest to what the other locations are like, but I can definitely recommend this one!

BEWARE!! I have literally NEVER in my entire life been treated as a customer the way I was in this pawn shop. The old lady with short hair and glasses (who I'm assuming is manager?) was SO EXTREMELY RUDE I can't even believe the way she behaved towards us as customers. I came in to sell a $3,000 camera to them, despite the lowball offer of only $400 she gave me, said I'd move forward with it anyways. After waiting almost an HOUR and looking around while there (their amount of available items for purchase extremely small and not of good quality as well), I came across a collectors pen they had for sale for almost $2,000 that I told them I was also wanting to purchase. The extremely rude woman then proceeds to tell me that I have to provide her with an original receipt of purchase for the camera I was selling them. The Amazon receipt from the person I purchased the camera from that I showed her apparently didn't work and she needed proof of my personal sale purchase I bought the camera from to buy it (NEVER in my life have I had to jump through so many hoops to sell an item to a pawn shop). Extremely frustrated after spending so much time there already and the attitude this woman was giving me the entire time, I left, drove all the way back home, got my checkbook with the copy of the check I wrote the woman I purchased the camera from, and came back. Please take note, I did not in any way cause any type of scene or raise my voice towards anyone when I left, I was simply agitated and in a hurry to finish this errand and get to my son's school to pick him up before they closed. When I return to this JOKE OF A PAWN SHOP, I come in and this woman immediately starts talking horribly IN FRONT OF ANOTHER CUSTOMER about me and how she didn't like that I was frustrated when I had to leave and drive home to get a copy of the check I wrote to purchase this camera and REFUSED to continue the agreed upon purchase. Not only did they lose out on the profit of this $3000 camera I was willing to sell them for basically nothing, but also the profit they would've gotten from me purchasing the $2000 pen I wanted to buy from their shop as well.I'm an owner of a corporation myself, and if any of my employees EVER treated and talked to a customer the way this woman did to me that day, they would IMMEDIATELY be fired.I will NEVER return to this location or any Money Man Pawn shop again after this horrendous experience, and I highly recommend any person considering going here AVOID at all costs! I would also like to make note to actual management and the owners, to reconsider the type of people you hire to represent your brand, stores, and customer service team. Ridiculous doesn't even begin to define how I was treated and the experience I had here.

A Christmas to remember ! I placed a bracelet on layaway for my wife for Christmas. I called Melissa the manager at Money Man and explained that I had gone to NY and was stuck in holiday traffic and weather related traffic ,but I was back in SC. I asked her if they could stay open a few extra minutes to allow me to arrive because I couldn't be certain I would make it by 5PM. She responded no and the store closed at 5 pm today. Sorry there's nothing I can do. I show up at 4:59 PM go to the door and it's already locked up. They're happy to take your money , but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired ! I'll pick up the bracelet after Christmas and that will be the last of my business they get ! Your actions have consequences and Money Man has lost mine forever !

I just recently got something here. They had a large assortment of everything really. The people who were working were helpful and friendly. They weren't pushy about trying to get a purchase from me at all. Good pawn shop to check out.

Management is amazing. Always super friendly and honest. Inventory is extremely low but I know that they have no control over that.

The Manager at this place is very disrespectful. He needs to be evaluated. I wasn't greeted when I walked in the door. Mothers Day. I don't know the manager name because he didn't introduced himself but he look like Zack off Save by The Bell.

Absolutely will not visit again! I love visiting and buying from pawn shops but this one is marked off my list
