Glad I could leave a solitary review instead of doing to whole place.
I was driving through SC and wanted to see if there was an item at the gift shop. It would add roughly an hour to my trip, but would’ve been worth it if they had it. Unfortunately the shop doesn’t have its own number (at least none listed). I called the main number on multiple occasions and left a message. I got to the shop and asked the lady if they had one, explaining my situation. She just told me no. Not even a half faked “sorry” seeing as I wasted my time to come to the shop for one item.
The museum ships are great though!

This shop was a good choice at souvenirs for Charleston, Fort Sumner and for Patriots Point. Prices were fair and there was a good selection of items.

This shop has a very wide area of Charleston and
U.S.S. Yorktown souvenirs, there are also a limited of Fort Sumter souvenirs, however the bulk of those are found at the small shop found at the monument. The store can become incredibly crowded during departure and return times, so if you plan to shop arrive early for ease of access. Prices are quite high as well and you can find similar items in other area shops for better prices for the most part. Additionally, as my picture shows, and I’m unsure if this is trying to be funny or was a just stupidly made sign but they were selling “air-conditioned water” which is literally just room temp sitting on the floor. — Additionally if your wanting water you can buy it on the ferry and it’s cheaper.

Not sure why so many negative reviews. I found several Patriot’s Point/USS Yorktown souvenirs and the employees were all pleasant. This is also a great spot if you’re looking for Charleston themed souvenirs as well during your trip. To top it off, they sell some local baked goods at the front including pralines.

I came in to ask about the water taxi, and one female employee on 5/31/23 at 10:40 AM was especially unhelpful and rude! I was appalled. I haven’t received bad customer service and unprofessionalism anywhere else. Thankfully a second employee answered my question.

This gift shop seems to be more about partisan politics than naval history. I'm pretty sure I didn't sign up for a Trump rally when forced to exit through this place.

Too much random stuff that just said Charleston rather than Yorktown or Laffey. I had trouble finding a souvenir that actually mentions the USS Yorktown, and what Yorktown merch they did have was very limited.

It was a dark and stormy day we sheltered in this gift shop while waiting for the fort sumter tour our group was harrased by the employees for touching products that were for sale at one point an older gentleman physically removed me from the store just for walking in the door. Would not recommend to anyone 1 star because the USS Yorktown was really cool
