This was our go to spot for odd ball needs while vacationing in Charleston. Parking lot was always crazy, like most Walmarts, just be cautious. We did find our pharmacy and toiletry needs and also snagged a big cooler for a great price. Self checkout- so no comment on customer service- not that Walmart is known for their service. Just a basic needs stop.

We had the dubious pleasure of venturing into our local Walmart jungle a mere 24 hours before a cacophony of pint-sized, candy-hungry, Halloween ghouls would descend upon us. A visit that, under normal circumstances, wouldn't cross our minds. Why, you ask? Well, post-Covid has painted a rather vivid picture of the Walmart experience:First off, the parking lot ordeal--a test of patience and maneuvering skills, avoiding abandoned carts and dodging monstrous trucks that seem to believe turn signals are an optional accessory when backing into spots.Once inside, the quest for items promoted online becomes a scavenger hunt. Customer service appears to be fluent in cluelessness, and more often than not, the sought-after product is as elusive as a mirage in the desert.Navigating the aisles resembles a game of shopping cart slalom, squeezing past carts laden with a cornucopia of processed delights pushed by corpulent families who seem to have cornered the market on frozen pizzas, cholesterol promoting snacks and Energy drinks. And let's not forget the seemingly endless self-serve kiosks, a modern odyssey that often culminates in a cruel twist--no change if you're among the minority still using cash.In the midst of this head-shaking retail odyssey, a beacon of hope appeared in the form of overpriced Hershey singles strategically positioned near the self-checkout. But the cruel revelation? THIS PARTICULAR WALMART, WAS BEREFT OF SHOPPING BAGS! None. Nada. Zilch. How in the world does this retail behemoth stay in business?

I'll be honest... I grew up going to this Walmart. Back when it was the hotspot and had Applebee's located next to it. However, trying to do curbside there these days is a joke. People park in the spots for curbside and nothing is done about that. Lots of tourists and rudeness of customers in the store. Still the same place it was 20 years ago, but with a lot more going on. Four stars for the location and people keeping this place alive!

Eh...not much to say in regard to the cleanliness or even the merchandise. However, their shopping bags are quality bags. Thick plastic. Unlike 80% of shopping bags. So they get two stairs for that.

There are TWO Walmart Supercenters in Mount Pleasant and I spent two nights in my Sprinter van here. Yes, this Walmart allows overnight parking in their lot and I had no trouble, toasty warm in my sleeping bag on a comfortable mattress in the back.Inside the store, it looked to be quite well stocked. Restroom was clean and they've converted most of the checkout lanes to self-checkout.[Review 19446 overall - 1020 in South Carolina - 416 of 2023.]

I don't care what city I visit, I have to go to a Walmart. Why? Because all Walmarts are not the same. The reviews on this store are not the greatest but I can say I did not have that experience. This store was loaded with clearance and African American products, toys and books. It was definitely a pleasure to ship in the womenswear section and load up on marked down items. We spent some serious time in this location browsing and shopping. Everything was neat and in place. It was not junky, or disorderly. A perfect shopping trip for us ladies.

Always only one to two registers open yet employees everywhere. Slow doesn't even explain it. You could be in line for 30 mins. Don't bother trying self check out, maybe one out the 10 they have will work. Managers could care less. Not the type of service I want. Time to boycott!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely not. This store is the reminder as to why Amazon is so easy and great to use. Both self checkout lines are always insanely long. They have MAYBE 3 registers open. I understand the staffing shortage trust me but then pay people appropriately and you will have less of an issue. The store is a mess and frequently out of stock on items. I went for a bike basket. I found one kind and it wasn't even where it was supposed to be. Piles of shoes stacked on tables. No price or if it's on sale. And very few healthy options for groceries. Avoid if you can and go online or target!

Stopped in to pick up a few things and was greeted by several employees offering assistance all over the store--"thank you for shopping at Walmart" and smiles. Very helpful. Checkout moved fast. Store was clean. No trouble finding a convenient parking space.

Stocked sometimes. Workers complain about people openly and hate to do anything "extra" such as open more than one check out line. All lanes closed except for one of their self checkouts and the line can be 15-20 people deep. I know times are rough but the effort is nonexistent.

Horrible customer service. I purchased a Wal-Mart + membership to get groceries delivered since I have a new baby. It's supposed to be more convenient to get groceries delivered to my home. Instacart charges ridiculous mark ups on groceries so I thought Walmart was the way to go. I have been using Wal-Mart now for maybe 6 months. The service is very hit or miss. The last three orders have been delayed for some reason. I suppose staff shortages? They often send meat that is past the expiration date or fruit that is spoiled. Today I received a bottle of dawn that clearly has product missing. I know there is an internet trend of going to Walmart (seems like the kind of patrons they attract) and filling your product bottle from another that is on the shelf. I get it, thugs who are "sticking it to the man" for cheating them out of their product. The only person you are hurting is other innocent customers. I can't believe a Walmart employee would send this to my home. (See photo) Yes, you can submit a complaint online but then you are sometimes asked to make a return in store. This defeats the purpose of online grocery ordering and delivery. If I wanted to go to the store, I would just shop in person. I think I will pay more for Instacart and get quality items.

Visited this store on a Sunday afternoon, with two visible checkout workers. There were self-check registers ONLY and at least 10-deep in each of the two feeding lines. This is ridiculous!
