I had a business account with BB&T some years back until the fees became excessive. I closed that account and never returned until recently. When I purchased a vehicle a couple of years ago, I thought I'd give them, now Truist, another chance. My first visit to the bank was last week. I chose the drive thru to conduct my business. Even though I was second in line, the wait was excessive. The only transaction I needed was to change a hundred dollar bill asking for two fifties. The teller left the window without saying a word. After a few minutes, she returned and stated she could not change the bill because I didn't have a "deposit" account. What??? I informed her my vehicle was financed there and I was paying interest. She said it did not matter. When I asked why, she had no answer, just a deer in the headlights look! She said it was their policy but could not explain why. I will be refinancing my vehicle with Founders Federal Credit Union, which I've been a member for almost fifty years, as soon as possible. At the time of my financing, Founder's interest rate was a mere .25% higher. In hindsight, I should have paid the difference. Lesson learned.

I have dealt with this bank for two years as treasurer of an organization. Poor customer service and training. Never able to reach anyone by phone. I would not personally bank here.

Everything is very slow to post, no early paycheck deposits and there’s weird fees. Plus the “benefits” come free with most other banks anyways

Jordan Day was very helpfull with explaining how overdraft protection works. I recommend anyone who goes into the Murrells Inlet branch, ask for Jordan.

The lady with the Grey hair wouldn't do a cashiers check because I didn't have an account. I had cash and was going to do the fee listed online. She refused to do one. Ridiculous

I can see why the ratings are very low, as I am a customer..I pulled into the drive thru had to wait 3cars later…finally I parked my vehicle in one line and had to stand outside in the next line in order to get waited on. After ok pulling off..never mind I had to wait for 30 min for one deposit…the teller skipped me and she apologized to the other customers for their terrible service…unbelievable

Went in to open up 3 business accounts to start a new banking relationship.Went in with all necessary docs and had all information ready for the banker.Fast forward 2 hours later - the first account STILL is not opened and when I asked how much longer this was going to take because I couldn’t sit at the bank for SIX HOURS the banker began CRYING and refused to open my accounts.THE PLACE IS A JOKE. STAY AWAY.

Truist / BB&T bank Murrells Inlet is simply Terrible! One if not THE worst customer experience I have ever experienced! Seniors, Retirees, Handicapped, Hearing impaired? Are you looking for a bank that offers that extra level of "CARE" you feel your needs require? Keep looking at other banks and lenders...My hard of hearing mother ( in her 80's ) and I ( both long term BB&T now Truist customers ) visited this Murrells Inlet bank today 11/23/2021 as we have many times. Mom is challenged as she does not do online banking, she does not have a smart phone, no computer and does not use text but mom has me to help and she has a BB&T Mortgage and needed some service with her account.Mom being hard of hearing I am always able to repeat anything someone says if needed and help her, anyone with aging parents understands. It has never been a problem with any other bank, or moms Doctors visits, DMV visits etc as everyone understands you may need to speak up, speak clear and or simply use me and I will repeat what you just said to mom if she can't understand every word. As a worse case, simply write a note on paper if you have a question and if that hearing impaired customer can't hear you. ( Even I found it hard to hear in a small office but with a desk top plexiglass shield and a full face mask ) but I have found most everyone will go that extra mile for people with a disability with-in reason but I was hitting brick walls today at this bank in Murrels Inlet. It was actually suggested I come back in with a power of attorney as the bank employee suggested she was not able to communicate with mom. UNBELIEVABLE, as my mom was sitting beside me in this bank and I was willing to help and is why I was with her. I could not believe what I was experiencing, to think it was being suggested I leave and return with a power of attorney because mom was heard of hearing? So, after a very, very, very stressful visit today and me not being willing to leave without help, Mom was somehow able to get her questions answered but it was like placing a square peg in a round hole. Mom deserved a SO much better experience, SO much more respect, SO much more "CARE" than what she got today. I deserved a better experience too as I am also a Truist customer.Truist bank advertises a "CARE" culture... I did NOT experience even an ounce of care... As my mom and I exited this branch I found a deep feeling of sadness overcame me, I was very upset, sad, sad for my mom, and truly disappointed with this bank and the total lack of care or willingness to simply help mom get info on her account. What I experienced was almost what I would call a "toxic" culture...My hard of hearing mom was trying to take care of a very simple banking matter, its just not suppose to be that hard of a thing to do but it was today.May I suggest, If you are searching for a new bank after relocating or retiring to this wonderful area and are considering this bank and you have any special needs or require that extra little bit of "CARE" and kindness, or you simply expect something as simple as a smile, understand you have a choice and deserve a better bank experience than what mom and I received today. My mom did not find any "CARE" at this Truist / BB&T branch. What transpired during my moms visit to this bank today was simply unacceptable. One should never be required to experience what my mom and I experienced today. Truly just sad...

It’s really really bad service in my life ever. I had some problems concerning with credit card in BB& T or Truist. It’s really really bad. Most of employees are unprofessional & unskill. Whatever they did wrong & their fault, they never take their responsibilities. If we do something wrong , they will tell me , No that’s your fault blah blah …..???? And also they’re not respected on their customers. I felt like so , I think, I’m asian ?.Even they did wrong , I have to wait for long time . They mean I have to wait until their job was done . What ? ??Most of employees are no active & they do slowly. Totally different with Wells Fargo’s employees.I had credit card problems today . That’s not my fault. Let me explain about !On March 25 , I paid credit bill $312.10 in the Murrells inlet Branch. At that days , they look like busy , but it shouldn’t be like that . They can’t do systematically. As I see , one lady , she run away all the time into the counter. She didn’t what she need to do well. At that day also , she handled my case & before she finished, she transfer to other person. On March 30 , my payment was reversed my payment. It’s mean , I didn’t pay that money .When I checked my account today, it was over my credit limit . Actually I did the payment & I never ever used over my credit limit. When I saw that , I’m so exhausted . I feel nervous ?.So , I called credit center , I told my situation with someone form there . She told me to go to branch & make sure to bring receipt what you make payments. I did & went there. When I arrive, I show my receipt & explain about to teller . She told me , on the same day , they do posted my payment & reversed it , and then they said reposted again ??? what? In my account only reversed transaction show me. Not show reposted. How employees work it? You see? Let me ask , on that day , all of the accounting transactions & cash are equal? I had experienced in accountant for five years . I do know well, especially in bank , every single person have to careful , even the penny , we can’t miss . I would like to know, on that day , how they close account & cash transactions????It’s not only first time. It’s happened to me two or third times already.Today I spent my times a lot in there . I’m angry & not satisfied. I am late to my another job also . I’m scared to go there, every time I have to wait at least 1 hour to complete all. If I say truth, they are not professional. Not take responsibility.I remembered & knew well all of the employees in there bcoz at least 2 times a month I always go to there to make payments.
