I just want to say that palm beach tan at Murrells inlet is the best. Bernie is by far your absolute best associate. She always talks to you by your name and is so informative and takes her time helping you. I really thought that she was a manager as I see her almost all the time but she’s not. Please tell me why because I’m sorry she is the one person that should be a manager. The other girls are nice too but not like Bernie. I hope you aren’t discriminating because of her age. I love going in and seeing her behind the counter as I know I’m going to have the best experience. She is so friendly to everyone that comes in. Make her a managerService: Tanning

Employees are very nice. Place is clean.Store closed due to staffing issues (again). Bothersome since I check the web page before traveling up here. Web page site says open…UPDATE Web when you are not operating..Dryer has been on the fritz for over a year. Employees have taken towels home to do them. At the rate of 8.00 an hour, it’s a wonder why there are not enough employees.Was told..(District Manager).. oh they can make money on top of that. No one wants to work. Let them go to a restaurant and make waitress pay.Umm, are you forgetting tips? That’s probably over 100.00 per day.No, no one wants to clean tanning beds which contain bodily sweat, etc; in these times, when they can make 12 at McDonald’s. Then take towels home to wash and dry on they’re own time and dime.Get it together!!Service: Tanning

First of all I want to say how wonderful the employees are at the locations in Murrells inlet and both Myrtle beach by 544. Secondly, I signed up at Murrells Inlet salon because it is just over 2 miles from my house and 3 miles from my work. I work 9am to 8pm with the stores advertised hours of being open until 9:00 I said that’s wonderful I’ll be able to tan after work! Boy was I wrong! I just signed up for a membership on April 25th and have only been able to use my membership at Murrells Inlet on that day. All other days I’ve driven by and the store has been closed. Yes, I went to the other location 15 minutes away, off of 544. But I cannot stress what an inconvenience this is for my short amount of time that I do have off of work. I only signed up at this location because of its close proximity to my work and home. The employees there are true gems and so was the young woman that signed me up at Murrells inlet.I worked in a tanning salon nearly 20 years ago and I made more money hourly 20 years ago than the current employees do. I can guarantee you that has something to do with why the store isn’t open most days. You can make $12.00 an hour almost at any other job. Publix next door to this salon even pays more and is much more appealing work since you aren’t dealing with the piles of sweat on the beds. When situations like this happen it’s time for the company to take a deep look at their inner workings and pay structure. Unfortunately no one can survive on $8.00 an hour plus what little commission they make. So no one is going to work here long and the salon is going to have staffing issues now until the pay problem is fixed for their employees. Like I said, 20 years ago, before all of the inflation, when I was 18 years old, I made more than $8.00 an hour at a tanning salon. It’s sad that pay hasn’t changed in 20 years. Unfortunately after this month I’ll have to cancel my membership because I cannot use it at the location that is convenient for me.The tanning packages were also much much less expensive back in the early 2000’s so I don’t know how the employees get paid so little now. I’ll keep trying this location throughout my current membership but I highly doubt it will be open for the hours posted.This review has nothing to do with the current employees there, as they have all, and I mean all, been very knowledgeable, kind, professional, and friendly. They are the best and you’re lucky to have them. This review is an outsiders reflection of your business. Not the employees at the business.

The have business hours on website but I have gone to the salon several times during business hours & they were closed. So then I have to drive to a different location. ?? And I can’t get anyone to answer the phone & the store owner was rude when I had a question about my membership! I won’t be going back! Not happy at all with customer service or being inconvenienced!Service: Tanning

This place went down hill fastBroken promises. Short staffed, I get that, however update your phone service to hours open. Many times, no answer. Drive there, not open. Sometimes they are but no body answers the phone. Several times in one month I attempted to tan. They were closed. Was promised a credit, still not received.Service: Tanning

Great tanning salon. So many new tanning beds, and new more powerful beds 5han they has since I was at a tanning salon. Very enjoyable. Best tanning experience I have had in years! I highly recommend Ultra Tan!
