I can’t say enough great things about the wonderful care I have always received here. Very professional, friendly and immaculate facility. Lucky to have this in Murrells Inlet.

Should be called Southern NON-Urgent Care. Went here 10 weeks ago after I had a severe injury to my foot while on vacation. I couldn’t bear any weight whatsoever on my foot, and it was very swollen after rolling my ankle. Was wheeled to an old, tall x-ray table and told to get on it. Umm, how? I had to hoist myself up by my arms while on my belly. Once they said I had no fractures, the doctor said I could either have crutches or a medical shoe, pick one. When I returned home 4 days later, I went to an ortho doc, and I learned I had ruptured my plantar fascia!DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF EMERGENCY! I was there for over 3 hours and got no real care whatsoever. The female doctor acted cold and uncaring as well.

The level of care has decreased dramatically over the last year and the billing system is terrible. I keep receiving bills for services that were paid on the day of visit.

We were referred to this clinic by our Quebec insurance company. Seen by nurse and by Dr. H.Davis. Excellent service.

This was my first time at Southern Urgent Care. I saw Johanna Maggio- Dates. She was lovely and super thorough. She also didn't force needless medications on me and treated me like a human instead of a number.Extra bonus points because she's a surfer! ?

Horrible place and lack of concern for your health stay away save yourself some time and just go to your regular doctor or the ER! Went here Sunday 1/5/20 with server lower back pain to the point where I couldn’t walk the receptionist was very nice and polite the Medical Assistant showed no interest in her job and my vitals at all and when I got to see the Medical practitioner she asked what my issues were I explained to her I was having server lower back pain deep in my back she had my urinate in a cup the test came back negative so she said it was a muscle strain without any exam and further testing. Went home later the night the pain got some bad I couldn’t sleep and nothing was helping the next morning I went to my regular Primary Care Doctor and explained to her what was going on she immediately said i had a kidney infection she did a full exam and confirmed I had kidney stones and prescribed the proper treatment and medication. If I would listen to Urgent Carr who said I had a strain muscle I would have been in bad shape just a few days later. I give this place and the staff 2 thumbs down! Stick with what and who you know and go to yours regular doctor!

Do not go here. At all.I came to this urgent care today because I was 100% sure I had strep throat and unfortunately it showed as one of my only in network providers for the area. I ended up being there for over 2 hours. The first question the front desk asked me was “What insurance do you have?”. No hey, hello, how can we help you, what are you here for….. Just indirectly about money. No smile. Nothing. They immediately made me pay my copay (go figure). I do have to say that the nurse (a man) was very nice and so was the medical assistant. However, she was very new and was turned loose with little supervision until they gave me a shot, which was when another nurse stepped in to watch. Which was one of the most painful shots I’ve ever had and bled down my arm. And I’ve had this same shot multiple times. What bothered me was how many times I was left in the room and forgotten about. Nothing was done in order. They came in and out sporadically, swabbed me twice because the nurse didn’t think I was swabbed correctly the first time. I heard them discussing me LOUDLY outside about how I gagged when I was swabbed (who doesn’t) and about my medication allergies. The doctor dismissed my request for a new antibiotic (I was given one via telehealth that is a very low dosage and wasn’t helping) and magic mouthwash for numbing. She didn’t even introduce herself or touch me with a single instrument. Just her hands on my neck and a small flashlight in my mouth. No stethoscope. No throat scope. They did give me a steroid shot. They then popped in to tell me I was negative for strep, even with a 102+ fever and white spots all over my throat with extreme pain swallowing and eating. Plus not being able to sleep. The doctor walked in and told me I could go and they’d call me with my results. I told her they said I was negative. I then asked what was wrong with me if it wasn’t strep. She laughed and said “It could be a number of things but your antibiotic will cover it.” So no diagnosis was ever given and they released me without any paperwork. The place is run very inefficiently and patient care doesn’t seem to be a concern. I left flabbergasted and decided to drive to the CVS minute clinic. I was in and out in 20 minutes with a positive strep test, new antibiotic, and magic mouthwash. I am very confused about my encounter here and will not be returning.

Terrible service still getting bills from January prescriptions. We’re called in 10 to 15 days late.

Had been here a couple of times before and had pretty decent care. But the last time I took my daughter there the doctor or NP who helped us was incredibly rude. We were there related to a virus. Pretty much told me there were people in the clinic with “severe” illnesses and that I shouldn’t be bringing a child into their office. Obviously none of our family will return.

i do not do this often, place a grievance on yelp...but for anyone listening/reading do not go to "hot mess" johanna. pa. stick with hillary becker. pa if you have to go there... or go find another place of business, which really is all it is... going to the doctor is not what it used to be... healthcare system???? it's an entity of it's own and about profiteering/ capitalism, there is no one there, or anywhere in the south like the doctor you had for yrs. never mind, someone who was your family physician/practitioner, and whom was your family doctor; who's in charge of a np at this place???? no such thing as "Hippocratic oath," stay away from johanna... she's a hot mess. Grossly Negligent and Liable.

Horrible customer service. Rude front desk staff. Everyone late to work and then rush through your appointment. Didn't even text for the flu when my child has a 102 temp cough and running nose. Poor excuse for a care facility

My husband was diagnosed with Covid last April 2022 by Dr. Boris. He was told to take ibuprofen and was sent on his merry way. This "doctor" needs a bedside manner class. He was rude and this is not acceptable in this profession. I wish I had read the reviews before taking him there.
