Buying appliances can be daunting especially when you are not in the same state! We had a difficult situation and Angelo & Izzy at A1 Coastal bent over backwards to give a good ending to an impossible situation. The people at our STR said the fridge stopped working, and A1 had the quickest delivery time of all the stores we called. Unfortunately there was a few measuring mishaps. The first delivery didn’t work out and the drivers took the fridge back. The staff made room in their schedule to deliver again the next day, but that too was not going to seemingly work. The staff went to the house to measure themselves and it was determined that there was nothing in stock that fit the measurements and had features that I wanted. We spoke and text to come up with an immediate solution to give them a working refrigerator. A1 had an older but working spare fridge they were willing to bring as a loaner until we sorted this all out, and delivered it. One thing is clear however, most businesses would not have had the patience for this situation, and big box stores would have never made so many attempts or put so much care into helping us find a solution.Pictures to follow once the new fridge is picked out and installed.

11/22/21 I purchased appliances over via phone for a new home in Myrtle Beach. Due to the pandemic my home was not finished in Dec. 2021. Angelo @ A1 Appliance agreed to store these appliances for an undetermined amount of time. I chose A1 because it was the only small business I found in Myrtle Beach that serviced what they sell with a 1 year warranty. My home wasn’t finished until Jan. 2023.Untimely I finally took delivery of “similar” model appliances on or about Jan. 9th, 2023. The appliances looked like they came from a scratch and dent sale, I purchased new. I never signed a statement the products were in satisfactory condition. Angelo told me he would make good on replacement parts and labor. He was also to swap out the clothes dryer due to the scratches and word “ok” written on it. It’s been 12 months and he’s never made good on his word. There is a video posted on YouTube of Angelo recorded by Living Local Carolina, WBTW, a local TV show. In the video he tells of the one year “parts and service” warranty. At no time did I ever expect to get appliances that did not “come out of a new box”. The pictures show the hand written notes on the washer & dryer, the dents on the refrigerator, the freezer door doesn’t always completely close properly which causes frost buildup and the motor running continuously. I corresponded with Angelo, via phone, text, visits to his store. All resulting in promises he never kept. The refrigerator has the same scratches and dents, the freezer has the same problem, the clothes dryer now leaves black streaks on garments. Angelo committed to correcting these issues and never did. I have given him every opportunity to make things right. Now I seek other options. “Coastal or Costal”? I feel there is something unethical about this business. I paid A1 Costal not A1 Coastal. I lived in PA. at the time of purchase. After I filed a complaint with the BBB,2/4/23, Angelo agreed to replace my appliances. 3/1/23 I wasn’t surprise but still waiting for the replacements. 3/3/23 they brought me a temporary dryer that wouldn’t damage my laundry. 3/4/23 I went to the store to tell them the black dryer delivered the previous day didn’t tumble. The person at the store called me a crazy lady that didn’t take her meds. This is a poor excuse for a “small business “. I prefer supporting small businesses but not at this caliber. Pictures don’t lie. You can’t make this stuff up!

BUYER BEWARE! Read the BBB complaints for this business. Wish we would’ve seen them before doing business with them. Excuse after excuse, definitely red flags! We were expecting the replacement for a dishwasher that never worked which they installed in 2022 and never came back with the ENTIRE front panel and left it . Unacceptable! My sister never received her refund in 2022 for the other appliances after being told it was processed back then and now you ( Angelo) said “accounting” processed it in 2024 and that you had the documentation you then tell us oh they cut a check instead since we don’t have square anymore etc. at this point with the way you conduct business we don’t believe a check was cut or even mailed. You promised delivery yourself today 2/20/24 of this dishwasher, said you were leaving the store after 3pm then said 6pm. You never contacted the property manager and as soon as I called to follow up you sent my calls to voicemail and ghosted, tried calling another number on the website and it’s disconnected. We really wanted to support a local business and this situation has been very unfortunate. have zero faith that they will rectify the situation.

paid in full for a brand new washer and dryer and a fridge. they were supposed to be delivered on 10/03/23. I was told by Angelo they were damaged and reordered, so he delivered a Temp fridge and washer and dryer(not the brands i ordered). Now its been nothing but excuses since. Back order, the truck broke down. There in Florida, there in North Carolina, there at his warehouse. The delivery drivers didnt show up. There on the truck being delivered they ran out of time. Then he said he was going to rent a truck and deliver them. I lost count how many times my wife and i were told its being delivered and it doesnt show up. we told him to cancel everything take the temp stuff out and return our money. Angelo said, ok he will return our money to the credit card company. Still hasnt returned our money or removed the temp fridge and washer and dryer. It is now November 21 2023!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is now February 19 2024(A follow up to my November 21 2023 post). I had to contact the fraud department of my credit card company due to A1 appliances not giving me the appliances i ordered and giving me a temp fridge and washer and dryer and refusing to remove them and return my money. The fraud department contacted A1 appliance, where they admitted they didnt give me what i ordered and paid for in full and only gave me temp appliances and still have not removed. After A1 appliance admitted to the fraud department of my credit card company everything i stated. I was issued a temp return on my credit by the credit card company. A1 was given a forty day time to appeal that decision or they could have opted to close the case over 40days ago. They did not opt to close the case and i had to wait another 40 days to make my refund from the fraud dept permanent. IN other words A1 did not appeal the decision, they just cost me, wasted another 40 days of me not getting my money back. So today February 19 2024 and the temp return of my money for a new fridge and washer and dryer have been made permanent by the Fraud dept of my credit card company. I returned today to A1 appliances to ask them again to remove there temp appliances from my place( i have lost count how many times i asked them to get There stuff out). Thats where it stands as of now.

Purchased 2 refrigerators for HOA association and received a very good deal. Good selection of inventory, brand new with minor blemishes. Very helpful and included delivery. Will definitely go back to purchase any other appliance for home when the time comes. Great deals, easy to work with

A1 coastal was recommended to me after Lowe's told me it would be almost 6 weeks before my delivery of a washer and dryer. (Ugh!)It's a great little store. The two guys working were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful in helping me decide on purchasing the GE w/d. It was a Friday and the delivery date was Monday!I didn't feel any sales pressure. They quoted me an honest price and I said "sold". I would highly recommend checking them out when you're in the market for appliances. ?
