I had a very upsetting experience at American Eagle today. One of the employees, a young girl with her hair down, acted in a way that was completely unprofessional and honestly racist. While my family and I were speaking in our native language, she started mocking us by saying things like “wayayaya,” which felt like she was making fun of how we spoke.
That alone was extremely disrespectful, but what made it worse was that as we were leaving, she whispered something to her coworker, and we clearly heard her say the word “racist.” It was deeply hurtful and made us feel unwelcome and judged just for being ourselves.
I’ve never experienced something like this in a store before, and it’s disappointing that this kind of behavior would happen in a place that’s supposed to be inclusive. I hope American Eagle takes this seriously and trains their staff better. No one should be treated this way.

American Eagle will not let you exchange tagged, unworn merchandise without a receipt. You can ONLY get the same thing in a different size. What a waste, the item was a gift that I didn't want. I just wanted to trade for a different item. Nope... Corporate rules changed last summer. Not good business.

The ladies at American Eagle Tanger Outlet were great! The lady went above and beyond to make sure I found the jeans I wanted and size! Great experience.
