This is our first visit to myrtle Beach. We were staying in a condo that shared beach access with the Arcadian. Our first day on the beach with 2 children under 3, the lifeguard watched us set up a tent and then walked over and said they were not allowed. (This isn't posted anywhere.) When I asked why, I was told this was an Arcadian policy. I told them I wasn't staying at the Arcadian. I was told I still had to follow their rules. On our second day on the beach, we set up our umbrella. I was told it had to line up with the others on the beach(another Arcadian policy that was not posted). They told another elderly couple next to us the same thing. We literally had to move our entire setup 3 feet. I spoke to the man next to me (who was staying at the Arcadian) and he said he'd been coming here for 10 years but wouldn't be back due to the ridiculous rules and the rude behavior of those enforcing them. Our last night there, I drove my family to the beach on our way to dinner so we could take a family photo. I parked briefly to unload my infant. Once on the beach, I was headed back to move the car. I admittedly didn't see the Arcadian only parking sign until we were getting out. Before I could get off the beach an older overweight security guard with a gun and badge was yelling at me from the steps to"get back up here" when I approached him and asked how I could help him he asked me "if I could read" without any other introduction. He then explained that I didn't belong there. I told him I was on my way to move my car. He placed his hand on the gun he wore and stated again that I didn't belong there. I moved my car and walked my family off the beach. I admit to not seeing the sign, but the level of aggression we were met with was completely unnecessary. I would advise anyone staying at or near the Arcadian to reconsider. Spend your money somewhere customer and family friendly. We will not return to this area of Myrtle Beach.

I have been sub contracted for this building a few times now, and the staff is absolutely so kind! The rooms are all so different from one another so no stay is the same. With 2 buildings they have a great view of the ocean and surrounding areas and ample parking for everyone. The staff is on hand at the resort and have great security as well. The pools are kept beautifully and the club house area and work out area is in great condition. They have handicap access and codes for the doors so there's no risk of strangers walking in. With such a beautiful area you're bound to have the best stay in our beautiful town! The owners are just the most kind souls!

We enjoyed our stay, it was our first time at myrtle beach, usually we visit florida.Cleanliness was not so great (room 14E), we had to re-do all the dishes, it was very dusty everywhere, we found multiple nails in the carpet and in the bathroom, the baths needed to be re-cleaned by us… Every furniture, wall, paint, etc would seriously need a refresher, looks and feels old. Drawers are hard to manipulate, etc.Our biggest concern was with the railings outside on the balcony. VERY DANGEROUS.We have a 16 months kid and a 3 and half years old kid that could pass their head and body litterally through the raillings. The evening we arrived, my older son tried passing through to see the pool… we went urgently to walmart to buy some ropes and secure this for our kids.Unacceptable for a family, and for a rental property. Imagine having your kids fall from the 14th floor…When you look from outside, you clearly see that some neighbors added a mesh to their railing or even changed the railings for a smaller spacing model. The kitchen sink was blocked, but they sent a plumber to fix within few hours, the guest bathroom sink appeared clogged as well. The wifi went off few times. The guest bed (queen) is broken and my GF and I had back pain after our stay. The matress would curve through the middle and there were no middle support…In summary we had great weather, liked the beach and the outside amenities, but would not rent again in this condo.

I have been coming to Myrtle Beach off and on since the late 70's. Have always stayed at Arcadian 1. The last two years we have stayed at 14E for a month. We had a wonderful experience. The kitchen has been updated and fully equipped with anything you would need. Great dining area with comfortable chairs and table. Nice king size bed in master bedroom and bathrooms have been updated. Owners have beach chairs and other beach items available to use when renting. Anyone renting this unit would be very pleased with their stay.

It was so nice to arrive and unpack and relax. All kitchen needs were met and spacious bedrooms. The ceiling fans were great and the bathrooms top notch. Just an elevator ride away from the clean pool and steps to the beach. Great for taking the little guy up for naps and running up to the room for snacks.

Just returned from our week in unit 5C at Arcadian I. I have been staying at this condo complex for all of my MB trips over the past 31 years and have always enjoyed my stays. This unit has some pros and cons, and unfortunately the cons will prevent us from renting this unit in the future. The pros include the beautiful view, fairly easy access if using the stairs, the spacious kitchen, the queen bed in the second bedroom, and the in unit washer and dryer. The cons include the very uncomfortable beds, the lack and poor quality of drawer space, no closet or any sort of hanging area for clothes in the master bedroom, the complete lack of towel bars in the master bath (it’s a beach and I need to hang my towels), and the broken couch. The Arcadian I staff was amazing and provided a wonderful experience with the pool and grounds- we are always appreciative of their efforts and friendly demeanors.

The location is secluded away from the main strip, which is nice for people who have emotional disabilities. It took a try or two to find the right street. We stayed in 16B. First of all, as with any ocean front condo or hotel, the view was lovely. However, the carpet was very dirty, as well as the patio. The furniture and unit itself are quite dated and tired. The master bath is tiny and not very clean. The guest bath was okay in size but was also dated. The fridge in the kitchen is covered in rust and could be remedied with a simple paint job. The blades on the ceiling fan were dangerously loose. We were terrified one of them would come fly off.I'm honestly uncertain if I would recommend staying here or not. I will note the office staff were very nice and let us hang out by the pool while our other condo at a different building was being cleaned. Ps. The security guard is super nice.

Very different from any Myrtle Beach accommodation. Off the beaten path and nestled into a very private quiet area. Management does an incredible job keeping the grounds and common areas impeccably clean. Security Guards, ample parking, elevators, tennis, barbecues and a beautiful pool. Great for a family vacation. Close to so much.

Our experience with Arcadian was awful. They allowed the owner of the unit we stayed in to have continuous complaints about broken doors, dirty unit and mold and never addressed the issue. When I asked about this Kim Webb at Arcadian said our unit was priced appropriately and because we only paid $200 per night, we got what we paid for. The girls in the office did their beat to help and even came to address some issues but there were so many to deal with we had to live in a filthy dirty unit for 5 days. I would never recommend this unit or this property management company.
