Have shopped here a total of two times and will not be returning despite it being an easy walk to get to. The first time I had purchased several plush toys that were marked wrong and wound up paying about $10 more for each one than what they were tagged as. The second time I went as soon as they opened. About 3 staff members were standing near the registers when I walked in and they just stared at me when I passed by like I was interrupting them. Any staff member I passed while in the store offered no greeting, only staring at me like I was going to steal something. I work retail myself so I know the importance of being friendly and warm to customers. These people were anything but. At least the cashier was friendly when I went to check out. Corporate needs to reevaluate the staff at this location because if they're so adverse to interacting with people they need to get a different job.

They do have several home decor items that can make your home look posh without spending a lot of money, especially in the furniture department. So if you got rental property or a college kid or first bedroom for somebody this is the perfect place. They got blinds everything for a bed, even a bed and you can't beat the prices on the couches and living room furniture. Stay away from the clothing. I don't know what they're making that stuff off but it feels like plastic.!

Two employees in particular were very helpful. An employee named Bob went out of his way to find items for us. He was an exceptionally hard worker. Although the wardrobe we selected was not the one that we got, my daughter was satisfied with it enough that we didn't return it.Vonya, the cashier, was super friendly and helpful. She put the customer first, which was a welcomed change in a world that seems to have forgotten customer service. We will be back! Highly recommend for a large variety of products.

The Big Lots in Myrtle Beach is the best I've been to. The staff there are always friendly and helpful. Ed, the Furniture Manager, is amazing and went ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure that I was satisfied with my Furniture purchase. I would recommend this store to everyone ???

Purchased two chairs on 04/03/23 at a cost of $443. Was told I couldn’t see the chairs until they were purchased as there wasn’t enough room in the store or store room. Boxes were opened before the chairs were loaded in my mini van. The chairs seemed fine so I took them. Got them home and they were the worst sitting chairs!Loaded them up to take them back and was questioned by the guy who took them out of the mini van in a really hostile way. I explained that this ask could have been avoided with simply letting me see it in the store. The manager Justin, could not figure out hire to make the refund. He assured me that , the furniture manager could make the refund the following day when she came to work since she has 20 years of experience. I asked since she had 20 years of experience shouldn’t she have been able to probably input and print the receipt? I kept calm, did not become loud, only asked Justin a valid question. This made him angry and very defensive. Back at the store today and still have not received a refund. They can see my transaction, see that it’s paid in full, but can’t masher the refund. No reach out to corporate, or even a neighboring Big Lots. Joanne literally hid in the back rather than try to fix her receipt error. The gentleman that originally loaded the chairs for me was able to make the refund following my daughter’s instructions. I totally get the errors happen, but management staff should at least look for a solution and not hide from customers
