“Went here for the first time at this location with my mom on Wednesday December 10th 2025. My mom needed to get a card for Christmas. Dollar Tree is a store that sells cards, some groceries, home items, home decorations, and more! Now some of their items have gone up but some of the cards are still $1.00. We walked in and immediately found the card section. They seemed to have lots more cards than the other dollar tree location in Carolina Forest, including an Uncle card that I found. But i didn't need any cards as I already got mine. Their card section did seem alot smaller though, but my mom was able to find what we needed. We also looked around the store for some calandars like car Calanders, but didn't really find any. Lots of Cat calanders though! We also brought a kitchen meat fork that looked okay. Store was clean and organized. went to the cashier who was pleasant and paid for our items. Highly recommend this Dollar Tree! Hope to be back again!”

“A great variety of products and their balloons last over 3 weeks!!!! Halloween is already out with the school supplies. Be prepared to buy early or you'll miss the holiday you're looking to decorate or the chance to donate for a church or school holiday for less out of pocket, move quick! The staff is always very sweet and helpful which is always a plus. They also keep the store very clean and organized!”

“Can't say enough about this store! We went on a Saturday morning and found the store stocked really well. We were looking for the new Dolly Parton Christmas line. They had everything we were looking for! We stopped at other DG's and nothing was out yet! The best part of our trip was meeting a worker named Tanya. Her attitude was infectious and is a great asset for Dollar General!”

“Now this is what you call a mini mart! This dollar general was absolutely AMAZING, I’m traveling here for vacation and realized I needed some more snacks and gatorade’s for my families beach trip and they had everything I wanted and more. It was so clean and stocked beautifully, the dollar generals at home aren’t anything like this! Now the young blonde lady behind the counter was so nice, after I got to the register I realized I forgot one more item and she let me run and grab it real quick without being nasty or rude about it (which after the travel stress and morning I had it really made me feel better) and when I mentioned we were going to the beach and she saw the gatorades she asked if I needed a bag of ice! Uh yes please because I completely forgot and would’ve had to stop somewhere else… AGAIN. I don’t know who the manager is but she should be proud of herself and her store. I hope this company knows they have a good one, will definitely have to come back before we leave and stock up on “road home” snacks. Thank you dollar general!”

“Went here for the 1st time at this location on Sunday April 19th 2026 with my dad. Needed some cards for both mothers day and a birthday that is coming up. If you never been to a family dollar before, they have cards, shampoo, conditioner, hair products, grocery items, mugs, water bottles, and a peloria of items. Very convient and nicely priced.
This location is also a bit bigger than some of the other locations. Didn't walk around as much but did seem like they had more items. Oh and this is also located in a shopping center next to a food lion. Their card section is in the back to the right. Found it after walking a bit. They had lots of mothers day cards. Now while they didn't have a godmother card like sometimes another retailer has, they had plenty of other choices where I found a nice card for instead. they also had an okay selection of birthday cards- though I was looking for dad ones. did find a nice one. When I was done, went to the cashier and paid with cash. In total it was 4.36. paid with a 5 and got proper change. Store was also organized and clean. If I am in the area, will be back for my card needs!”

“When I arrived, Haley greeted me and offered help. After returning her greeting, I went directly to the item I wanted. I found everything on my list at the correct price. At checkout, Haley greeted me again and asked if I found everything to which I answered in the affirmative. She quickly and professionally tendered my order, gave me the receipt, and thanked me. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Thanks, Haley, for a job well done!”

“This is my favorite Dollar General in the area. The manager is fantastic and always helpful at finding hard to find items. The store is always clean and well stocked and they do a good job of keeping lines moving quickly.”

“It was like any other dollar general on the inside. The parking lot was a little sketchy. A gentleman was standing outside his vehicle, smoking a blunt, because that stuff could be smelled from a mile away, like it was completely legal. And he was friendly nonetheless. But really? In the parking lot of a Dollar General?? I was 33 cents short on my total and all I needed to do was run to my car to get it but the female employee said not to worry about it and she took it out of her own pocket. To me, that was the most kind and wonderfully sweet gesture that most people wouldn't dream of doing. I would definitely return here if I ever return to the area for vacation. Regardless of the poor souls that can't smoke their drugs in the privacy and comfort of their own home or yard, this place would get my business.”

“1 of the ladys working there tonight was super nice she made my night. I went in to get hygiene stuff and was going to get my dog a new toy but I didn't have enough $$ with me so I asked the lady to take the dog toy out and asked if she could hold it for a little bit so I could go home and grab a few more dollars and then I would be back to get it and she pulled her wallet out and paid for my dogs toy. I was not expecting that. Awesome lady! I appreciated that so much very kind hearted lady. I went and paid her back and let her know how much me and my pup appreciated her???”

“I like this place because it's easily walkable from the boardwalk and offers a decent selection of groceries at far better prices than the convenience stores on Ocean Blvd. I met two different employees, one was cheerful and friendly, the other not quite as much but still pleasant.

It's kinda cramped inside and not the best shopping experience, but I'm going to give it four stars just because it has a lot of necessities at fair prices and is an easy alternative to the price gouging establishments on Ocean Blvd with pleasant staff.”

Laura's assistance was invaluable as she helped me find several items that I could not find. She even offered a substitution for Swanson's Chicken Broth. 7-18-2024. Peter greeted me upon entry today. He smiled and offered help. I asked him where an item was located and he directed me right to it. The store had everything I needed in stock. Peter made sure I received my $10 off $40 discount. He took wonderful care of me taking time to help me out today. I recommend Peter and his store to family and friends. This is my new go-to store as I had an issue with another store manager today of which I will not mention the location. It was not 2000 N Kings Hwy. I did not purchase at that store today because they were out of stock of my ice cream.
7-20-2024. Susan greeted me when I came into the store this morning. She smiled and looked at me as she made that greeting and offered assistance. I saw Manny stocking shelves and asked him where I could find a brush that was on my list. He gladly took me to the item. I was happy to find everything on my list in stock today. The prices were correct, and the store honored my $5 off $25 Saturday discount. Susan checked me out at the register efficiently and with care. She had a friendly and professional manner. Thanks, Susan and Manny, for a great shopping experience today! I recommend this Dollar General location and these two employees to family and friends.”
